Project Linus - Santa Clarita Valley / Antelope Valley / Sylmar Chapter Project Linus hand-made blankets for critically ill and traumatized children from birth to age 18. That blanket comforted not only my son, but me as well.

"The Santa Clarita Valley chapter began with one blanket that my son received in 2010 when he was fighting pneumonia in the NICU. I vowed to return this same gesture as often as I could. I brought Project Linus to the high school where I work, Academy of the Canyons. When I told students what I wanted to do, the response was overwhelming. In three months we donated 110 blankets back to the Los Angeles chapter where my son’s blanket originated from. As we continued to make blankets, my students and I wanted to open a chapter in the Santa Clarita Valley. In February 2013, that dream became a reality. Thank you for joining our cause to bring hope and comfort to children and families all over Santa Clarita."

Hey Blanketers! If you were wanting of clarification of where exactly you should drop off your made fleece blankets, here is a guide of where, and how to drop them off.

We will be hosting this Drive Through event at Academy of the Canyons from 10AM to 4PM on October 24

Be sure to bring your already made 1.5-2 yd, Anti-Pill or Blizzard fleece blankets to this wonderful event.

Please join us October 24th from 10AM to 4PM for our semi annual Make a Blanket Day!! This year it will be hosted at Academy of the Canyons as a DROP OFF event.

Don’t forget to bring your already made blankets (1.5-2 yards of Blizzard or Anti-Pill) SERVICE HOURS WILL BE REWARDED.

Please join us on October 24, 2026 for our semi-annual Make a Blanket Day. This year we will be hosting it at AOC/University Center as a drop off event from 10 AM to 4 PM.

Don’t forget to bring your own made blankets to the drop off (1.5-2 yards of Blizzard or Anti-Pill). Service hours will be rewarded.
