DODGERS FIRST. POP-UP SECOND. WE’RE TRYING TO HAVE IT ALL! This is posted at 10/14 Wednesday 5:27pm while watching the game and coordinating pick ups! :)
We’re hoping to watch the Dodgers win first (priorities, people!) and then roll into Central Park in Santa Clarita tonight for a little NourishNow CA pop-up about 8:30pm.
The truck is already packed with FUN pet items because apparently our truck has become the community’s most chaotic treasure chest and we love it that way!
We also have a few pickups happening between approximately 7:00 and 8:15 PM, so we’re hoping to have some snacks, Noah’s Bagels (BRING YOUR OWN BAGS!), and lots of goodies for your four-legged family members.
🐾 A QUICK BUT IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT THE PET GOODIES! These items come from our partnership with Five Below, and we have specific agreements in place for getting them into the community. Our mission is to keep perfectly good stuff OUT of landfills and INTO homes where it will actually be used.
PLEASE TAKE ONLY WHAT YOUR OWN HOUSEHOLD CAN USE FOR YOUR FAMILY PETS TONIGHT. There may be limits.
No stockpiling, no grabbing extras for friends, neighbors, cousins, or your dog’s entire social circle. We want these goodies spread around so more local pets can enjoy them, and we need to honor the partnerships that make this possible. We have contacts and relationships with local shelters and contribute to them too.
Now, back to the important questions…
How much food? What else will show up? What time will we actually get there?
YOUR GUESS IS AS GOOD AS OURS.
That’s the beauty of food rescue. We don’t have a warehouse full of stuff or a perfectly curated menu. We rescue what’s available, load the truck, and get it back into the community before it goes to waste.
So keep an eye out for updates or look for us to roll in around 8:30pm! We’re hoping to see you tonight, even if it’s just to say hi, talk Dodgers, and remind your pets that we haven’t forgotten about them.
NourishNow CA: Feeding people, rescuing good stuff, keeping it out of landfills, and occasionally letting baseball dictate our schedule.
