ABOUT OCPC
Purpose:
According to the OCPC, ORANGE COUNTY PRESIDENTS COUNCIL, by-laws, the primary objectives and purposes of the Corporation (OCPC) shall be: to promote the improvement of the business climate and conditions in the Orange County, California, & nationwide through coordination of promotional activities, and by providing a forum for various local and national chambers of commerce and
other non-profit organizations; to meet. discuss and support one another to resolve common issues and business initiatives relevant to the existence and prosperity of the local and national chambers of commerce and other non-profit organizations in support to economic and community growth of its covered members' area or region. Background:
The OCPC was initiated in 2000, however, in November 2001, a group of pioneers of multicultural, women, and diversity business leaders of the community, promoted by Peter Sinambal; joined with Linda Sarno, Bobby McDonald, Joel Ayala, Jo Cranston, Lynn DangTu, Kim Huynh, Annie Choie, Carrie Mizera, Bekeley Demissie, Michael Lee, Alan Woo, Sofia Negron, Josephine & Joe Lu and others; hosted by Fred Salazer of Disneyland Resort held its first meeting. The group signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to cooperate and organize a regional business forum for multicultural, women, diversity, and small businesses in and around Orange County. Activities:
The OCPC has two annual events of BIZCON, an event of expo and seminars, since 2004 and HOLIDAY BIZ MIXER since 2006. Other activities, like leadership meeting and board meeting happen regularly. CURRENT PRESIDENT:
