WHY WE RIDE
BNR
All of us at Big Nick’s Ride for the Fallen want to send a special shout out to Cat Wilson. It was great seeing her and being reminded of the incredible role she has played in the history of this ride.
Seventeen years ago, Big Nick’s Ride began under the leadership of U.S. Marine Ben Perry. The torch was then passed to fellow U.S. Marine Rick Thompson, then to Cat Wilson, then to Dean Melanson, and today it is proudly carried forward by Dawn Roche, Jim Matthews, Rusty Gage, and Todd Jacobs.
Every one of these leaders has helped grow this ride into something bigger than any one person. Together, they have built a tradition that honors our fallen heroes, supports Gold Star families, and brings people from all walks of life together to show their love for our country and the men, women, and families who serve and defend it.
Cat, thank you for everything you have done and continue to do. You will always be a part of the Big Nick’s Ride family and its history.
We love you, Cat Wilson, and we can’t wait to ride together again.
Join us for Big Nick’s Ride Weekend, July 18 and 19, 2026.
