Titcomb’s Bookshop welcomes local author Joseph C. Salvo on Tuesday, June 23rd from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM for a signing of his memoir of recovery from brain surgery, I Wiggled My Toes . . . Hallelujah!

Within two weeks, Joseph had visited three different doctors, had four MRIs, was diagnosed with a meningioma tumor and endured twelve hours of very delicate brain surgery. Post-surgery, an unexpected turn of events occurred. With his book, Joseph aims to give hope to others who have dealt with, or are presently dealing with, a life-changing experience.

After so many accidents this week this is a good message to share. Please slow down and stay off the phone while driving.
Being more vigilant and alert will save lives.

🚗Slow Down – In Our Town🚗

The Town of Sandwich Department of Public Works and Sandwich Police Department are once again partnering on the annual "Slow Down – In Our Town" campaign to encourage safe travel throughout our community.

As Sandwich prepares to welcome residents and visitors for a week of America 250 celebrations and the summer season, our roads will be busier than usual. From June 27 through July 4, increased traffic, events, and community gatherings will bring more people onto our roads. A few extra seconds can make a lifesaving difference.

This year's campaign includes:
🚦 Public education and awareness efforts
📱 Safety messaging through social media, the Town website, and community outreach
📟 Portable message boards and speed feedback trailers throughout town
👮 Increased traffic enforcement and targeted patrols

Please help keep everyone safe by:
✔ Obeying posted speed limits
✔ Staying alert in village centers and neighborhoods
✔ Watching for pedestrians and cyclists
✔ Avoiding distractions behind the wheel
