Erie County Community Foundation proudly hosted its Third Annual Scholarship Recognition Breakfast Friday, May 29, 2026 at Sandusky Yacht Club. We spent the morning recognizing 124 student recipients, who received over $313,000 in scholarships in 2026, and the generous donors who make these scholarships possible. It was another great event, and we look forward to continuing this tradition annually!

Since 1995, Erie County Community Foundation has awarded approximately 1,500 college and post-secondary education scholarships worth nearly $3 million to Erie County high school and college students.

Thank you, Donors, Scholarship Award Winners, Parents, Superintendents, Guidance Counselors, Families, Volunteers, and Community Members for attending the event and sharing these honors!

What a great day at the Ideal Team Player Retreat! We explored Patrick Lencioni’s framework of being Humble, Hungry, and Smart, and how these qualities strengthen team culture, collaboration, the hiring process, and overall leadership in nonprofit organizations. Building Brighter Futures Together
What happens when our region’s educational leaders sit down at the same table? Big things for Erie County students.

Yesterday we had the privilege of hosting a collaborative session with school leadership from higher ed and our local K-12 school districts across the region—including speakers from BGSU Firelands, Lorain County Community College, and Huron City Schools.

The focus? The transformative power of scholarships and nonprofit school grants.

By aligning our resources and sharing a vision, we aren’t just funding projects; we are investing in the next generation of innovators, creators, and leaders right here in our community. From enhanced classroom technology to expanded vocational training, these partnerships bridge the gap between "what is" and "what’s possible."

A huge thank you to all the administrators and educators who joined us. Together, we are making Erie County a place where every student can thrive.
