Aimees Farm Animal Sanctuary

Aimees Farm Animal Sanctuary Standing up for those without a voice, our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and to spread awareness of farm animals in need
(204)

Located in Queen Creek , Arizona, we rescue as many farm animals and horses from slaughter that we are able. We take in many in poor health, nurse them back and provide a safe haven for them to live their lives out. In some instances we will re home an animal to a forever family with a no slaughter/no breed contract, home inspection, references and back round check. We are a 501c3 non profit and rely solely on donations

What I thought were bite marks on Charlotte are actually spots! We noticed this when giving her a vet recommended soap and water scrub. So my theory of her taken by a predator is no longer a possibility. The spots seemed raised initially also from wrinkly skin from dehydration. Now she is nicely hydrated and the spots are smoothing out. I feel so silly! ðŸĪĶ‍♀ïļ I may never know how she ended up where she did by an off ramp by the freeway, but the important thing now, is she is safe and very loved! On another note, I need to utilize my reading glasses more often! 😆ðŸĪ“ She does have a little sunburn. Right now she is resting nestled in her cozy bed with heating pad on low. She has received such a loving welcome from our volunteers getting a little snuggles after each meal before going back to bed.

We were able to buy this UTV a year ago with many thanks to donations, to make life easy to deliver hay across the acres to the animals, to run the arena drag, to haul bags of feed, straw bales, an occasional animal, and so much more. It has been a blessing. Well, I crashed it into a side panel the other day so as not to hit one of the cows who jumped out in front while at the same time I was having a coughing episode. It sits now at Kellys Kawasaki with $3000 dollars worth of damage. The kicker? My insurance on it expired last month! I assumed insurance was taken out monthly as with our other farm vehicles, sadly this one wasnt. Husband error. I know this is not a plea for for an animal in need which is my occasional norm, and I truly dont expect and will totally understand if no donations come forth for this repair, as this was my fault for crashing, and my husbands for not renewing. In life we all make mistakes, I strive to learn from them and not make the same one twice. Anyhow, I went ahead to approve the work to be done on this UTV, as we need it, still owe some money on it, cant part it out and get anywhere near even or ahead. I do have a credit card I can put some money towards it on, I will be checking through the house to see what we can sell. I dont have a lot.
Any donations would be wonderful, but again, no worries if you dont, this was my doing, and somehow I will fix it, just thought it wouldnt hurt to ask.

Pro's on booking a tour/cow cuddle early for the cooler months. A. The cows and all the animals are more fluffy in the winter, the better to run your fingers through that magnificent fluffiness.
B. It isnt so hot that sweat goes in your eyes, so you can see these grass puppies more clearly when you go in to give them a smooch.
C. Weekends and mid week spots go quickly in the cooler months, we most often have a wait list of a month to two months in advance for last minute bookings in cooler months, some guests have waited up to 6 months to get an available spot, some have waited a year! So by booking early can assure you a spot when you want it.
D. Tours are rough on me in the hotter months, I will have way more energy in cooler months due to some health issues.
E. By booking early will help us to cover costs for the hotter months when tours are fewer as many people just don't want to go outside when temps are in triple digits.
F. Booking early gives us more time to focus on keeping our furry, feathered residents cool.
