Downtown San Leandro Community Benefit District The Downtown San Leandro Community Benefit District was formed to support a vibrant downtown and is supported by property owners.

The district provides enhanced amenities, ambassador services, marketing services, and Downtown San Leandro events. The Downtown San Leandro Community Benefit District (CBD) works to build a safe, clean, and vibrant downtown San Leandro. If you see an issue that needs to be addressed, please call our Ambassador Help Line at (415) 404-8463. The District is roughly bordered on the West by the San Le

andro Tech Campus, Root Park to the North, the Main Library on the East, and Thorton Avenue on the South. We support and promote the downtown with enhanced cleaning, safety, and marketing services paid for by property owners. Our Cleaning Ambassadors (in green) work seven days a week picking up litter, removing graffiti and weeds, maintaining planters, and pressure-washing sidewalks. Safety Ambassadors (in blue) conduct wellness checks with our unsheltered neighbors, work to deter unwanted behavior downtown, and assist our local merchants and visitors with non-emergency concerns.

Celebrate 117 years of the San Leandro Cherry Festival TODAY from 11 AM - 6 PM!

Start your day at 10 AM at the San Leandro Cherry Parade and cheer on your community as they make their way down E. 14th Street in festive floats, classic cars, and creative costumes.

Then, head over to the FREE festival for live music on the main stage, a vendor market with over 150 booths, the fresh cherry market, the family fun zone, a car show, pie eating contest, and more!

Get in step at the Main Stage with the dynamic funk band Farenhyte5150. Dance into the afternoon with Conjunto Karabali, featuring Mike Spiro and 14x Grammy Award-winning Santana Percussionist Karl Perazzo. End your 2026 Cherry Festival experience to the music of the legendary Bay Area band The Purple Ones - Insatiable Tribute to Prince!
