The journal bridges academic research and practical policymaking, publishing work that is both theoretically grounded and directly relevant to contemporary governance challenges.

ABSTRACT: FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY

Texas does not suffer from a lack of laws, programs, or spending. It suffers from a growing disconnect between government power and public accountability. Over time, authority has shifted away from voters and lawmakers toward bureaucracies, special interests, and institutions insulated from meaningful oversight.

The Texas Liberty Compact outlines ten structural reforms designed to restore self-government, restrain concentrated power, and ensure that liberty, free enterprise, and fiscal discipline are protected in practice, not just in rhetoric.

A Legislative Agenda to Restore Self-Government, Accountability, and Liberty in Texas Texas does not suffer from a lack of laws, programs, or spending. TPR REPORT: "Texas H**p Lawsuit Challenges THC Rules as Backdoor Ban"

The Cost Argument Moves From Policy Debate to Legal Claim
Texas Policy Research previously highlighted how the new rules would dramatically increase the cost of doing business. The lawsuit takes that a step further by arguing that those costs are not just burdensome but unlawful. Licensing fees for manufacturers jumped from a few hundred dollars to $10,000 per facility, while retail registration fees increased to $5,000 per location.

The plaintiffs argue these fees bear no relationship to actual regulatory costs and instead function as economic barriers. That is a meaningful escalation of the argument. It is no longer just that the rules are expensive. It is that they may violate constitutional limits on how government can impose financial burdens on lawful businesses.

A Texas lawsuit has temporarily blocked new h**p-derived THC regulations, reinforcing concerns that the rules function as a backdoor ban. Here’s what the case means for businesses, consumers, and the future of h**p policy in Texas.

As we face yet another “Religious War” that is being Raged by a Country that is is seriously devoid of the ability to effectively communicate across “Party Lines,” I can’t help but make clear what our 1st President and Commander and Chief for the Record;

Washington's Ideal:

Washington believed that the United States should function through national unity and "civic virtue," where leaders prioritized reason and the public good over private or party interests. He urged Americans to cherish their union as the "main pillar" of their independence and prosperity.

I unequivocally support his Ideal.
