Today, we’re celebrating the people who .

To everyone who has donated, volunteered, spread the word, partnered with us or simply believes every child should have books of their own: thank you.

Because of you, almost 8,000 children in our four-county region on the Lower Eastern Shore, receive a free book every month through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Your generosity helps bring the joy of reading into homes, spark imaginations and create special moments between children and the people who love them.

Dolly often called her Local Imagination Library Partners the “true heroes” of her program. We’re so grateful to have a community that continues that spirit of giving.

This is what it looks like to .

Right here on the Lower Eastern Shore of MD, almost 8,000 children receive a free book every month through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.

Behind every book is a community of people who believe in the power of giving—our donors, volunteers, local partners and supporters who help make this program possible.

On September 25, Give Like Dolly Day, you can help us reach even more children and families in our four-county region. Every gift helps us continue building a community where children can grow up surrounded by the joy of books and reading.

Give Like Dolly Day is coming September 25!

Dolly Parton believed in giving back and helping children dream bigger—and this year, we’re celebrating that spirit right here on the Lower Eastern Shore of MD through Give Like Dolly Day.

On September 25, we’re inviting our community to join us in giving back to children by supporting Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library in Dorchester, Somerset, Wicomico and Worcester Counties. Your support helps make it possible for children in our community to receive a free, high-quality book every month from birth to age 5.
