Le Petit Ranch has done it again! They came to the library with their team of adorable sheep, creating a beautiful environment for folks of all ages to pet and feed the animals as well as explore wool through weaving and felting activities.

Today, we had so much fun at a program called “Danny Sings About a Real Live Llama At The Library.”

One patron suggested we do “Danny Sssssings About Sssssnakes at the Library” next. 🐍 Would your family join us?

Leave us a comment if you can come up with another animal-themed Danny Sings Concert. Silly answers are acceptable, as are earnest requests. 😂

We are so excited to be joined by Danny Tieger and Debbie Labbe on Sunday, August 23rd at 2:30 for a fun mashup—a singalong concert with one of our favorite local musicians meets an exciting educational llama visit.

That’s a wrap! The Berkshire Resilience Brass Band put on a wildly fun concert at the library yesterday to celebrate the end of summer reading; winners of prizes were announced and contacted.

The band is so great at encouraging audience members to become part of the show, and they always bring a fascinating array of percussion instruments for us to try out.

Even Buttons the Bear found himself playing along to the music, thanks to a kindhearted little one who made sure he was given instruments too. 🥹

Thank you to all of our families, community members, and library staff who helped make a special summer reading program this year. 🌱

We can hardly believe it’s August! ☀️

Here’s a little throwback to the very beginning of summer at the library, where we were lucky enough to do a horse book camp with our friends at Le Petit Ranch

So grateful to Joe James for capturing some of these lovely moments and creating this slideshow for us to share! Thanks Joe!

We have more fun and educational collaborations coming up with the ranch, including an all ages program, Meet Sheep and Learn About Wool program on August 26th. Although the program is currently full, don’t hesitate to visit our registration page on the website and jump on the waitlist! 🐑

We had the best time doing a BioBlitz with awesome and knowledgeable nature educators Bethany and Ellery from the Sharon Audubon Center !

They helped us see how fun and easy it is to be a citizen scientist, so we encourage anyone who is interested to download the INaturalist app and start getting involved in community science.

We had such an amazing time at our nature weaving program today! The crafters brought so much of their own creativity and we were all very much inspired by the beautiful selection of fresh, organically grown blooms and herbs provided to us by our friends down the road at Crooked Oak Farms.
