Members attending today’s 9/23 luncheon meeting of the Salisbury Rotary Club at Noble Horizons heard Brian Ohler share his thoughts on the importance to our communities of our nonprofit service organizations like Rotary and the YMCA. Brian serves as North Canaan’s First Selectman and CEO of the Northwest CT’s YMCA. With the Y’s branches in Torrington, Winsted & Canaan, he spoke specifically on the decline of volunteerism and the challenging need for nonprofits to work together to “unite for good” for the benefit of all.
