In 2012 right after Hurricane Sandy, senior citizens were displaced and living in shelters. My husband, James Harrell and I went into one of these shelters to see what they needed. That day in the shelter, playing music for the elders and hearing the stories the music sparked, led us to create STORIES LOVE MUSIC, programs that integrate music and story to allow those that feel invisible to be seen

and heard. Music speaks straight to our heart and our human experience. Here we are 9 years later and the program has evolved, won grants and is now a non profit serving both elders and their caregivers. I am so proud of what the program has sparked so far and cannot wait to see how it evolves from here. Visit our site to learn more and contact me as I would love to tell you more.
