Fellow Indivisibles, it's former Steering Committee member Denise here. Last August we stood together with "Release the File Mile" on Main Street in St. Joseph, MI. We're going a tad "off message" today with an announcement from another organization but we think you'll understand.

Caring Connection, supporting victims of domestic and sexual assault in Berrien County, is hosting Epstein Survivor|Educator, Jess Michaels and Voices Empowered on October 1 at Shadowland Ballroom, in St. Joseph. I'm proud to say that I'm assisting with the event, as is Steering Committee member, Jen Ziolowski.

Those of us who have been chanting, "Release the Files" now have the opportunity to hear from one of the victimes as Jess discusses her experience and how we, in the community, can help victims here in our community.

We would love to see some of our fellow "Indivisibles" there.

Here's the information on the event. You can purchase tickets here:https://www.caringconnectionmi.org/events

And, a reminder of our protest from August, 2025.

USPS has confirmed it will comply with a federal court order blocking a proposed rule tied to Trump’s executive order on mail voting. The proposed rule would have required states to provide USPS with a list of preapproved voters before mail ballots could be delivered. Federal courts in both Massachusetts and Washington, D.C., have blocked the rule from taking effect, and Postmaster General David Steiner has now confirmed that USPS will follow those court orders.

FYI: If you already sent your mail in ballot in and would like to change your vote based on Mallory dropping out, you can do so. Just go to your county clerks office and ask to retrieve your vote, 'spoil it', and complete a new one.
Michigan voters have time to request a new mail-in (absentee) ballot if they voted for a candidate who has dropped out.
The official process, called “spoiling” a ballot, allows your local clerk to mark your original ballot invalid and issue a new one if your request is made before the deadlines and your ballot has not already been counted. This can be done in person, or by submitting a written and signed request to your clerk, stating you need a new mail-in (absentee) ballot and if you’d like it mailed or will pick it up.
Visit mi.gov/vote to learn more about the process of mailing in a ballot.
