The Southwest Michigan Regional Chamber Board of Directors gathered this morning to discuss priorities, opportunities, and initiatives that continue to strengthen our region’s business community and support economic growth.

Thank you to New Heights CCDA for hosting our June Business After Hours at the New Heights Laundry Hub! Chamber members were able to connect with one another and see an inside look at the impactful work being done in our community.

New Heights CCDA is a faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to equipping under-resourced neighbors in Berrien County with the tools and resources they need to move from scarcity to stability and success. Through initiatives focused on transportation, food security, and community development, New Heights partners with individuals and families to remove barriers and expand economic and community opportunities.

The Laundry Hub offers laundry services and hosts programs and events designed to strengthen connections, provide resources, and support pathways to stability. From financial wellness coaching and sewing classes to resource fairs and community gatherings, The Laundry Hub exemplifies New Heights’ mission of fostering community and opportunity.

Construction at Wolf's Prairie Playground in the Village of Berrien Springs, MI is underway, and they need our community’s contributions to help cross the finish line!

The “Drawn to Play” Playground Project was inspired by the voices and imagination of local children and brought to life through the support of residents, businesses, volunteers, and community partners who believe in investing in future generations.

With opening day quickly approaching, this final fundraising push is critical in helping the playground construction complete before school is out for the summer. Every donation moves one step closer in creating a space where children can play, connect, learn, and belong for years to come.

We were excited to celebrate the grand reopening of Plank's Tavern on the Water with a ribbon cutting ceremony yesterday afternoon! Community members gathered to experience the beautifully renovated waterfront venue and celebrate this exciting new chapter for one of the region’s favorite gathering spots.

Congratulations to the entire Plank’s Tavern on the Water team on this milestone. We are grateful for your continued investment in Southwest Michigan and look forward to seeing the memories, connections, and celebrations that will take place here for years to come.
