A little throwback to 2024, when I was vacuuming the space before Cha-Ami moved into our current location!

Now, we’ve signed another two-year lease!

We have big dreams for Cha-Ami and our mission to share Japanese culture with our community. One step at a time, we’ll keep moving forward and working toward our goals.

Discover the Japanese art of kokedama, a unique style of growing plants in a ball covered in moss! These beautiful living creations can be displayed as a tabletop plant or hung as a decorative piece. In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn how to make your own kokedama and take your finished creation home.

This Sunday, come shop, browse, and support Cha-Ami Japanese Cultural Center! We'll have a variety of items available, including antiques, crafts, and household decor. Every purchase supports our library, cultural programs, and community activities, helping us continue to provide a welcoming space for the community to learn, connect, and enjoy Japanese culture.

The sale will be from 1 to 4pm at our physical space at 2855 Anthony Ln S, Suite B5, Saint Anthony, MN, 55418. We are located in the basement, accessible via stairs or elevator, at the end of the hall and on the left. We hope to see you there!

What a fun day at ToshoCon!

We had a wonderful time at ToshoCon today at Arlington Hills Library! It was great meeting people, sharing Japanese culture, introducing Japanese books and manga, offering green tea tasting, and enjoying origami and yukata photos.

Thank you, everyone, who stopped by our table and spent time with us! We’re happy to be part of such a fun community event and look forward to more opportunities to share Japanese culture with everyone.

🌕🍵 Tsukimi at Wa no Kai

Today we enjoyed Sayamacha with tsukimidango and made our own “full moons”! 🌕🍡

We were also happy to welcome new students from Japan who are studying at St. Thomas University. They joined us to help, and we had such a fun afternoon together. Time flew by!

Wa no Kai is a senior program supported by the Minnesota DHS Live Well at Home Grant.
