Join us at this family friendly SPOOKY- PALOOZA Program!

Paint a blank canvas, decorate a ceramic sugar skull, color spooky seasonal designs, and discover more creative activities to take home. And adults, don’t miss out! Every year, we see just as many grown-ups getting in on the fun as the kiddos!

Tickets: $15 per person
All children must be accompanied by a ticketed adult.

Spooky-Palooza is an ongoing collaboration between Sag Harbor Cinema, The Church, and Bay Street Theater, bringing family-friendly fun for all ages all weekend long.

INTRODUCING THE HEDDA STERNE FELLOWS

We’re delighted to announce the inaugural Hedda Sterne Fellowship at The Church.

Made possible by the Hedda Sterne Foundation, this fellowship supports three visual artists in residence at The Church, by honoring Hedda Sterne’s legacy of curiosity, creativity, and discovery while championing the next generation of artists.

Hedda Sterne was based on the East End, and the Foundation’s support of these residents helps continue her legacy through the continuation of visual artists coming to the region to explore and make art.

Join us in welcoming our inaugural Hedda Sterne Fellows: kiarita, Ella Mahoney, and Jazzmen Lee-Johnson!

Experience the beauty and wisdom in listening to and exchanging stories firsthand by joining us for this very special evening of storytelling. Programmed in tandem with our exhibition Dear Mazie, which celebrates the pioneering local legend and Azurest Co-founder, this program is a celebration of the enduring legacy and spirit of the historic Black Beach Front communities here in Sag Harbor.

Gain a deeper perspective and intimate understanding of our local historic Black beach front communities as we traverse memories, reflections, and impressions from the people who know the landscape the best: its residents.

The program will begin with Donnamarie Barnes and Michael Butler, two artists included in the exhibition whose families have lived in the community for generations. Following their story sharing, hear anecdotes and narratives from individuals with deep personal and family ties, including descendants of Amaza Lee Meredith.

And join us as we warmly welcome Steve Williams, President of the Azurest Property Owners Association and Karen Saah & Mark Price, residents of the historically Black community of Sag Harbor Hills.
