Join us for an evening of dogs, great food, and drinks in support of 4Ever Yours Rescue!

Poor Red’s is hosting a special fundraiser for us on June 11 from 5–8 PM, with a special menu created just for 4Ever Yours Rescue.

Come out, enjoy a great meal, meet fellow dog lovers, and help us continue saving medical dogs in need.

We are planning to bring Mia, Chloe, Chikki, Izzy, Sky, Luna, Muffin, Lovie, Appy, Puff, and Winter.

Due to the heat, we will not be bringing our flat-faced dogs**,** as their safety comes first. But we would still love to see everyone there and share a wonderful evening together.

This is the face of a dog who is still unsure of himself and still unsure of humans.

As many of you know, he came to us with a collar deeply embedded in his neck and underwent surgery yesterday. He wanted to bite everyone, not because he was mean, but because he was in so much pain and had every reason to be afraid.

Today, he ate from my hands.

He is slowly learning that not all humans are cruel. Last night, he slept indoors for the first time in who knows how long. Before this, he was living on the streets and had to be trapped just to get him to safety.

He is beautiful, even through the pain and fear. I cannot wait for him to heal so we can get him groomed and help him feel like the dog he was always meant to be.

I cannot wait for the day he wags his tail when he hears my voice.
I cannot wait for the day he walks up to me asking for love.
And I cannot wait for the day he finally understands that he is safe.

Healing takes time, but today was a beautiful first step.

Taz was found as a stray, surviving on the streets of Sanger with an embedded collar and a bleeding wound. He also had foxtails lodged in his inner thigh.

Everything took a turn for the better when he landed at Sanger Shelter and was noticed by Cheryl Davies. Because Sanger is a rural shelter with limited veterinary resources, Cheryl immediately contacted Divya to ask for help.

And of course, we said yes.

Taz was flown in yesterday by Pilots N Paws, and today he had surgery to remove the deeply embedded collar and foxtails. It took Dr. Khurmi 45 minutes to carefully cut the collar away because it was lodged so deeply and dangerously close to his jugular. One wrong move, and we could have lost him.

This is where the skill, patience, and steady hands of a surgeon truly matter.

Taz will need frequent bandage changes and continued care, but he is finally safe and on the road to recovery. After everything this boy has been through, his healing starts now.

To know that even one life is saved because we showed up makes every hard day, every tear, every sleepless night, and every dollar spent worth it.

Rescue is not easy. It is emotional, expensive, and exhausting. But when a dog who was once forgotten, injured, scared, or unwanted gets a second chance, that is the reason we keep going.

Even one life saved matters. And to that one life, it means everything.

Sunday rescue… it’s never ending

Urgent funds needed for three medical dogs being flown in from Fresno.

Three dogs are coming into our rescue with serious medical needs.

One dog was attacked and has an eye that is severely injured and protruding. The second dog has an embedded collar, and the third has a hernia.

Pilot Sydney is flying them in, and Jerry Zavada will be picking them up from the airport and taking them straight to emergency care.

We are looking at nearly $3,000 in surgeries and medical treatment. Every donation, share, and bit of support will help us get these dogs the urgent care they need.
