On the anniversary of my dear friend’s passing I would like to share the story of Lucky. This was a dog that she pulled from the shelter because she could see the best in him. He wasn’t perfect, but who is. When Debbie passed Lucky still hadn’t found a home of his own. Her husband said he wasn’t going to give up and was willing to continue fostering Lucky to finish this vision of Debbie’s. I agreed to help Randy finish what Debbie started. We posed Lucky for adoption on our page. It took almost a year, but a few weeks ago, one of my previous adopters from over 6 years ago reached out. The dog they had adopted passed away and they saw Lucky on our page and wanted to meet him!! I put them in touch with Randy and let Debbie take over. About a week later, Randy let me know they came to meet Lucky and took him home!! We are all over the moon and it felt like I was hugging Debbie one more time. 🐾♥️

Louder for the people in the back. We aren’t hiding anything from adopters. We can have a dog for a few weeks or a few months and still not see underlying issues. We do all we can with what we know.

The last three for March all came from different places and each are so unique. Romeo is a little Pom mix (the one with the broken toes). His new mom couldn’t say no to his adorable face.
Jinx was found under an apartment dumpster. No one claimed to know anything about her. She is 2 pounds of pure love and joy. She wins as the farthest adoption…..Massachusetts!! Her new mom was here visiting her son and fell in love. I don’t think her feet will ever touch the ground.
Last was Angel. This was a case of, just trust me. After speaking with the adopters I knew Angel was the one for them. But they had a list of others they wanted to meet. So after none were right, they agreed to meet Angel. The match/bond was instant. Sometimes we get it right.

Things were moving in threes this month. Next were the golden girls- Blanche, Sofia, and Dorothy!! These three were found out in the country scared and lost. They were taken in and when no owners were found we were asked to help find them forever homes. We were able to do just that. Each have landed in such a special safe place to never feel abandoned again 🐾♥️
