This month, the Rutherford Arts Council logo takes inspiration from one of the most recognizable works in art history — Salvador Dalí’s iconic The Persistence of Memory.

Created in 1931, this surreal masterpiece is famous for its melting clocks, dreamlike landscape, and exploration of time, memory, and perception. DalĂ­, one of the leading figures of Surrealism, challenged viewers to question reality and embrace the imagination.

Born May 11, 1904, DalĂ­ became known for his bold creativity, eccentric personality, and unforgettable imagery that continues to inspire artists around the world.

This month, we celebrate his legacy by giving our logo a surreal twist in honor of his birthday and his lasting impact on the art world. ⏰🎨
