Universal Housing Development Corporation (UHDC) was established in 1971 as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization operating in the Second and Fourth Congressional Districts of Arkansas. During this time UHDC has never defaulted on any financial obligation of any type nor been judged unsatisfactory in the completion of program requirements. Although we target low-income individuals, UHDC’s programs a

re available to help anyone who comes to UHDC, whether they are a renter, potential or existing homeowner, disabled, elderly or a member of a minority or ethnic group. What form this assistance will take depends on the eligibility guidelines of each individual program. Helping people, building dreams is more than our motto - it describes what we do. We offer a wide range of programs and services to meet the housing-related needs in our nine-county service area. We help them and their families by providing programs, information and resources that empower them to reach their dreams. We also help by raising awareness through public outreach and media. We want to let our community know that ARVAC is no longer the provider for the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP).

If you need to apply for LIHEAP or have questions about your application, please contact the Economic Opportunity Agency of Washington County (EOAWC), which now administers the program for the nine counties historically served by ARVAC.
