Leslie Walton from Food for Kids came this week! She talked about several projects. The back pack program is in full swing again and they have started serving Western Yell county. At Christmas time, they allow the families to come and “shop” for food for their Christmas dinner. This gives them the chance to have some favorite foods. She also told us that Tyson and Conagra have been helping out with the food. And that thanks to a grant they purchased a walk in freezer.

Today Clarksville Lions Club gave Russellville Lions Club $250.00 dollars to help replace our new equipment after the fire. 100 years ago Clarksville wanted to start a new club and Russellville Lions helped them get started. We are saddened to hear that the Circle H restaurant where we hold our meetings was burned down last night. We will announce here when we find a new place to meet. Russ Bus is currently gathering funds for the staff if you are wanting to help out.
