Real Ruidoso - Unregulated Discussions

So much lameness happening daily ! We need to find out where these people stand and whose idea this was to begin with? And if a couple hundred thousand dollars is what it takes to upkeep a beloved and sacred water source then find some grants and ask the state or the Feds! Here are the phone numbers to the city council and mayor of Alamogordo. Apparently 3 of them are against the idea of fencing it up and closing it down. So let’s make sure they all get on board through their own free will or by community coercion!

🚔 DWI Saturation Patrol & Sobriety Checkpoints 🚔

Ruidoso, NM - The Ruidoso Police Department will be conducting sobriety checkpoints and DWI saturated patrols for the entire month of August. Officers will be looking for people driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs to reduce the number of impaired driving-related crashes and fatalities on our roadways.

Ruidoso Police Department strongly believes in the importance of saving lives through proactive strategies and encourages citizens to take an active role in their community and report suspected impaired drivers by calling 911. We need your help; if you consume alcohol or drugs, do not drive, and have a plan to get home safely.

We would like to remind everyone that impaired driving is not just from alcohol or drugs. Some prescription medications and over the counter medications can interfere with your ability to safely operate a motor vehicle, which can ultimately result in a DWI. Additionally, while recreational and medical use of ma*****na is legal in the state of New Mexico, it is still illegal to drive under the influence of ma*****na.

If you suspect another driver to be under the influence, please call 911 immediately. If you consume alcohol, plan accordingly and do not drive. Ride share apps are available in Ruidoso.
