"It's a whole new life. It's like a second, literally like a second life." 💛

Lisa never imagined she'd end up leading the same Restoration meetings that once supported her recovery. Now, 13 years sober and a Harbor Light graduate, she's helping others find hope on their own journey. ✨

When Briana first started volunteering, she was looking for a way to give back to her community.

What she didn't expect was how much she would gain in return. ❤️

Over the past three years, volunteering has helped her step outside her comfort zone, connect with others, and find her voice. From helping families through the food pantry to supporting neighbors in need, Briana has discovered the power of community and her place within it.

Did you know National Donut Day began with The Salvation Army? ❤️

In 1917, Salvation Army “Donut Lassies” served fresh donuts to soldiers during World War I to bring comfort, encouragement, and a taste of home. Today, we continue that tradition by celebrating the people who serve our communities every day.

We invited Salvation Army youth to make the original Salvation Army Donut recipe. Here's how it went... 😏🍩

National Donut Day has been a Salvation Army tradition since 1938 — established to honor the volunteers who brought soldiers hope and a taste of home during one of history's darkest times.
