Callum had his bath yesterday since we knew today would be chillier. He has some environmental allergies (likely grass) and I bathe him one a week with medicated shampoo to keep pollen off his fur and skin. The best thing about a mature dog? They don't fight the bathe.
Callum is the sweetest little guy. He gets along fine with other dogs but will not share a lap. He is a little picky about food and we've figured out how to manage that. He likes his diet rotated and he prefers dry food to wet. He hates his food mixed and won't eat it that way. We are giving him an appetite stimulant as needed.
He is available to the right home. He would prefer his person to be home more often than not. He follows me everywhere.

Little Bear walks decently on a leash. He walked to the end of the street and then got carried in a bag. He is too small to keep up with a bigger dog like Izzie. He was happy walking. He was equally happy in the bag being carried. He's gained a pound here already. He's still skinny though. He's not available yet.

This is what we do every day (maybe not the cake part). In between we coax dogs and try to get them to eat, and potty train, and walk them.
Little man, Bear is not quite ready. He's working hard on potty training and gaining weight. He will need a home with someone who is home more often than not eventually. He has a tiny bit of separation anxiety.
We will post when he is available. We are not keeping a waiting list. We need to know all of his issues first. He's going to see the vet this week.

Callum loves his bed that has a built in blanket. He covers himself up sometimes. We keep a sweater or shirt on him. Little dude is ready to go. His dental fixed his eating issue. He eats slowly but he does eat. Right now he's eating farmers dog. He could transition to a different food as he has plenty of teeth. We may do that once he gains a bit of weight.
He's 7.5, a smidge over 6 pounds. He is neutered, microchipped and vaccinated. He is current on heartworm prevention.
Callum would do best as an only dog, he doesn't want to share your lap. He loves sitting in your lap. He's a very chill little guy. Not much phases him.

We are a 501c3 non profit which means your donations are tax deductible. We do not get subsidies from anyone. Shelters are subsidized by counties, cities and municipal governments. We are not a shelter. All dogs are in a home while they wait for adoption.
We get dogs from shelters, owners who surrender their dog, and an occasional lost dog who can't find his people. We vet the dogs completely before adoption. They are vaccinated, spayed/neutered, microchipped, treated for parasites. We also do a dental if needed and figure out other health issues as they arise.
We are a very small rescue.

Little man Callum is ready to go. We are finding that Callum wants to be your one and only so the adoption we had lined up will not work as they have other dogs. We want what's best for Callum so he'll need a home where he is the pampered only dog. He is a sweet little dude. He does occasionally take apoquel for allergies. We have found that taking him off chicken helped immensely. He is allergic to grass though. He can be a picky eater but we have also figured out he loves farmers dog pork and will eat it without appetite stimulants. He's just had a dental and that helped with his refusal to eat. He is up to date on everything and microchipped as well.
