Pupdate on Darrin! He was one of Gladys' puppies. He's such a handsome boy. I think they renamed but not sure what his new name is. (Paco maybe?) His family says he's sweet and they love him. He has kids to play with which is usually a bonus with a puppy. He's not a year old yet so will likely grow a little bit more.
We love his coloring. So unique for a pug. We also love how he's spoiled and loved.

Pupdate! This is Gladys who was adopted last February after raising her pups here. She is sweet and loves children and adults. She has a fur friend named Coco who lives with her now. She loves having a sibling. She has grandkids to play with and is generally spoiled. She takes daily walks with her folks and they adore her. We are so happy for Gladys as this is the perfect set up for her. She loves people.

Pupdate!! This is Briezy, she was Brie with us. She was adopted at the beginning of 2025 and is doing well. She finally plays with her sibling (who remarkably looks just like her). She carries around a bone like a pacifier and it's the cutest thing. She's doing well in her new home.

Briezy is adopted. We'll have more dogs at some point but right now we are pausing for a break.

57% Bichon Frise

2% Havanese
1% American Cocker Spaniel
We saw the poodle in him. His hair is soft and curly... But didn't see the other breeds. Though Chihuahua is in almost every small breed. He's a unique breed. He's very sweet and a really good little dog. He is adopted, we'll post his adoption photo soon.
We have no clue how accurate these tests are, we did this mostly for fun. Though I will say it's been completely accurate for several of my dogs I've tested.

I can see the breeds listed though I still have no clue why he has a cropped tail.
Drop your best guesses for fun. We'll post the test results after lunch. He has very soft curly hair, a long body and a cropped tail.

Pupdate! This is Chica! She was Regina with us and she came from the Lockhart 100 hoarding case a couple years ago. She was one of the more social ones and was adopted quickly. She is the cutest little thing. She enjoys patrolling the neighborhood from the living room window and playing with her fur sibling(scroll through,there is a photo of them together)
We love seeing how far these dogs have progressed. They came from a really awful place and with most of them, they are normal dogs now. Their hair grew in nicely and they are healthy.

Just a reminder to anyone adopting from us or someone else. This is the 3/3/3 rule.
Dogs need time to adjust when they come into a new home.
The first 3 days are confusing for them. They don't know why they are there and where they go potty. Some dogs shut down and hide or potty inside as they adjust.
Within 3 weeks, You see a visible difference in the dog. They begin to find their routine and behaviors change as they get to know you and house rules. Their true personality starts to shine.
It takes most dogs 3 months to build a bond and start to trust their caregiver. Some dogs who've been out on their own or who are shy take longer to build trust.
All dogs are worth taking this time to get to know them.

Shaggy sitting on the deck. We've had a walk, ran the yard chasing Izzie and now just chilling before we go inside.
Shaggy has a home visit today so he may be adopted. We'll see. We do take applications until the contract is signed.
