Citizens for Responsible Development in Roswell

Citizens for Responsible Development in Roswell CRDR advocates for development that highlights & leverages our unique assets. Sally McKenzie- admin. The Citizens for Responsible Development in Roswell Inc.

was created after concerned citizens watched continual procedural misteps by the City while ignoring Design Guidelines, which was detrimental to Roswell’s Historic District. However, CRDR’s ultimate goal is to provide a means for ALL of Roswell to communicate concerns regarding developments that affect them and/or do not adhere to city vision and protect character.

🚧 Road Work Update: Canton Street Resurfacing

Due to recent weather-related delays, resurfacing work on Canton Street will now begin overnight tonight, May 7.

The project area includes Canton Street from Woodstock Road to Magnolia Street. Contractors will be starting on the Woodstock Road end and will work on sections each night.

🕛 Work Hours: 12:00 a.m. – 5:30 a.m.
🚧 Lane Closures: 12:00 a.m. – 5:00 a.m.

Work is scheduled overnight to minimize daytime traffic impacts, and the project remains on track for completion ahead of the second Alive in Roswell on May 21.

This investment helps preserve the character and walkability of our historic downtown while keeping roads safe and reliable.

We appreciate your patience as we continue investing in maintaining safe, high-quality roadways.

🎉Join us! City of Roswell Celebrates Opening of Downtown Parking Deck🎉

The public is invited to celebrate the grand opening of Roswell's new Downtown Parking Deck! Join us Monday, May 4, at 2:00 p.m. for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the deck entrance at 1056 Alpharetta Street (SR 9). Mayor Mary Robichaux and City officials will be on hand to mark the occasion. Parking for the ceremony is available at Southern Post, 1055 Alpharetta Street.

👉Starting May 4, parking in the new deck will be offered at NO CHARGE to help maintain access to downtown during upcoming construction on Green Street.

Construction on the Green Street Activation Plan also kicks off May 4. Green Street will be fully closed to through-traffic from Cherry Way to Alpharetta Street (Hwy. 9) for approximately six months. Green Street from Woodstock Road to Cherry Way will remain open one-way southbound.

The Downtown Parking Pilot Program will otherwise move forward as planned, including on-street paid parking. The City will continue to collect data on parking usage and demand at the deck and other downtown locations to guide future decisions. Learn more at roswellconnections.com/parkingplan.

📣Help Mayor and Council prioritize future transportation projects! The City of Roswell is asking residents to take our survey and weigh in on a list of proposed transportation projects for TSPLOST 2026. AND join us TONIGHT at City Hall for a joint TSPLOST/Comp Plan 2045 Public Meeting.

On November 3, 2026, Roswell voters will decide whether to renew the Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (TSPLOST) to fund transportation projects in the City of Roswell through March 2032. This renewal would be Roswell’s third TSPLOST and would extend the existing 0.75% (three-quarters of a cent) sales tax that has supported transportation improvements in our community for the past 10 years.

If approved, the renewed tax is expected to generate $85–$95 million for Roswell over five years.

Review the proposed projects and share your priorities:
• Take our online survey by 11:59 p.m., Wednesday, May 6: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/TSPLOST2026Projects
• Attend the Joint Public Information Meeting on Thursday, April 30, 6–8 p.m. at City Hall, 38 Hill Street. More Info: https://roswell365.com/.../joint-community-event-comp.../

Your feedback helps Mayor and Council decide what goes on the final list submitted to Fulton County by May 31!
