One hundred percent of the proceeds from our annual calendar go directly toward FCAR’s continued rescue efforts, helping us provide food, shelter, medical care, and second chances to animals in need.

Our silly Toodles has been adopted! He has an Aussiedoodle sister named Lulu and they are crazy about each other! Update from Toodles' new mom!! "Odie (formerly Toodles) has been the best addition to our family! He fits right in and it’s as if he’s been here his whole life. He has been running around the yard with Lulu like crazy! He is so well-behaved and well mannered! And today was transformation Tuesday. Look how handsome he is with his new haircut!” Happy and handsome, yay for Toodles!

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR COTTON FEST!

Fayette County Animal Rescue will be at Cotton Fest on Saturday, September 12, from 9:00 AM–4:00 PM on the historic Somerville Square—and we need a few helping hands!

Volunteers will help us with booth setup, merchandise, greeting festival visitors, sharing information about FCAR, and packing up at the end of the day. You don’t have to stay all day—just choose the shift that works best for you!

Every hour you give helps us raise awareness, connect with our community, and continue helping animals in need.

🐶 Are the dogs behaving?
Debatable.

🐱 Are the cats judging us?
Absolutely.

🧹 Did we just clean that?
Yes.

💩 Is it already dirty again?
Also yes.

❤️ Would we trade it for anything?
Not a chance.

Life at an animal rescue is messy, loud, exhausting, hilarious and incredibly rewarding—and we wouldn’t be able to do it without the people who adopt, foster, volunteer, donate and cheer us on from the sidelines.

Ever wonder if a small donation really makes a difference? It absolutely does. 💚

At an animal rescue, the little things add up FAST. A few dollars can help provide treats for training, cleaning supplies, enrichment toys, medication supplies, or other everyday necessities that keep our animals comfortable while they wait for homes.

You don’t have to make a huge donation to make an impact. When lots of people give a little, it can make a BIG difference for a small rescue like ours.

Sweet Zilla has been adopted! From her new mom, "Hey, just wanted to let you know that we are IN LOVE with Zilla (now Marcy). She has been doing so well since we brought her home! She will play and play and then is the biggest purring snuggle bug❤️. Going slow with her and our dog George, but they will sit by each other on the couch (while we hold her) and smell each other with no hissing/growling or signs of being upset at all. But there are actually some pretty great reasons to consider adopting a pair!

Two kittens can play together, burn off some of that endless kitten energy, learn from each other, and have companionship when their humans are busy. Plus, you get twice the purrs, twice the snuggles, and approximately 47 times the entertainment. 😂

Did you know that when you adopt two kittens from us, you pay one adoption fee? And honestly, two kittens can be easier than one—they have a built-in playmate, wrestling partner, nap buddy, and someone else to blame when something mysteriously falls off the counter. 😂
