New to 4-H? Have a year under your belt but still have questions and want to learn more? Please attend the Family Orientation on November 12 at the Ronan Community Center at the Fairgrounds from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.! We will share about the National 4-H Program, how it shows up in Lake County, and everything you need to know to be successful in 4-H this year! There will be snacks provided and games, don't miss out!

Open to new Club Officers and anyone interested in club officer roles, especially if it's a "new to you role". Come get a refresher in parliamentary procedure or learn what your new role should be if you've been elected to a new position even though you've held an officer position in the past.

It is almost that time again! We will have shooting sports orientation on October 13th at 5:30 pm. We will go over the schedule for the year at that time. Please make sure to sign up for 4H and shooting sports in advance. Practices will be on Tuesdays again as usual. Starting time will depend on how many kids we have signed up. Your child must be 9yrs old by October 1st to participate. Sign up to pay shooting sports fees and participate in ZSuite under County Events. See the appropriate sign-up "Event" for the number of enrollees you're signing up- there are three County Events listed for paying shooting sports fees in ZSuite. Call Extension if you have any questions or contact the Shooting Sports Leaders.

🍀October 4, Annual 4-H Achievement Day a Success and FUN!🍀💚

Lake County 4-H Achievement Day on October 4 was a great success and a lot of fun! This is the time of year we look back and celebrate all the 4-Her's success from the past year. Awards were received for many, many categories, including nominations for awards from Club Leaders for kids who showed extraordinary community service, leadership, and resiliency. The photos don't reflect ALL the great awards, buckles, and prizes awarded that evening.

We also celebrated the wonderful 4-H Leaders and volunteers, and a new Club Award for Community Service that will be a traveling trophy for a lucky 4-H Club each year. Lake County 4-H wouldn't be where we are without all of the hard-working Leaders and Volunteers. We thank the 4-H families for attending and celebrating with us and the kids. Over 218 folks attended and enjoyed dinner with a baked potato bar, steak bites, and snacks.

🍀Are you interested in signing up for 4-H? Please do not sign up on ZSuite until you are in a 4-H Club. Need to find a Club? Please call us at 406-676-4271 so we can help you! We have eleven Clubs across Lake County, some are very full, so let us help you find a 4-H Club and match your needs and interests. The window for signup is October 1 and ends December 15. 🍀Are you interested in signing up for 4-H? If you're a current member or volunteer, you also need to reenroll for the 2026/2027 4-H year. The new 4-H year begins on October 1 and registration ends December 15 so be sure to enroll now!
