Did you know, according to 2024 data, that 19.7% of our children in Floyd County live below the federal poverty level?

That puts Floyd County above the state average of 16.9% of GA kids living in poverty.

While GA is often ranked as being a #1 state for business, it is the 39th best state for children and families.

You are invited to join our Strategy Team as we explore how to disrupt patterns of poverty in Rome-Floyd County.

Are you in a caregiving profession, providing care for clients or youth?
Are you in leadership providing care for your staff?
Are you leading an organization, like a nonprofit, that gives care to populations within our community?

One of the hazards of caregiving professions can be falling into continual patterns of Compassion Fatigue.

You are invited to join our second cohort of “Caring for our Caregivers: A Compassion Resilience Support Group.” Our cohort will meet together, as a closed group, for 10 sessions starting in November to learn patterns that help reduce patterns contributing to Compassion Fatigue. Participation in the cohort is free of charge thanks to a grant made possible by the Atrium Health Floyd-Polk Foundation.

We have a few more seats available.
Email Jennifer at [email protected] with questions or to register to claim your spot.

What an inspiring and refreshing week it was, spent representing the RFCCCY, Floyd County’s GA Family Connection Collaborative, at the Georgia Family Connection 2026 Conference, “Little by Little” on lovely Jekyll Island. Thankful for the opportunity to learn from insightful sessions, spend valuable time with regional colleagues, and do a little co-presenting on our collective work with BUILDING A REGION OF RESILIENCE COMMUNITY and Resilient Georgia. Thank you GA Family Connection Partnership for the opportunity!

We are still cheering for our new local and statewide TBRI Practitioners who completed their training process last week with Restoration Rome and the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development.

🎉Congratulations and welcome to our new community Practitioners at the Open Door Home, Hospitality House for Women, Inc, Rome-Floyd YMCA, Berry College, Three Rivers Church, Restoration Rome, and Floyd County Drug Accountability Court! Special shout out and welcome to our neighboring colleague at Pickens County Family Connection as well!

We are excited for all the ways you will be able to apply the principles and practices of relational neuroscience to meet the needs of your staff and clients.

Thank you to our partners at Northwest Georgia RESA for the invitation to your Whole Child Supports Collaborative this past Friday. It was an honor and a joy spending the morning with extraordinary educators from the NWGA RESA school districts steering them to their local Georgia Family Connection Collaboratives in their counties, giving them their own copy of the 2026 Kids Count Data books from the Annie E. Casey Foundation, and introducing them to trauma informed resources for school systems from BUILDING A REGION OF RESILIENCE COMMUNITY and the TBRI GA Collaborative. These types of moments continue to amaze me and prompt me to deep gratitude for the network of likeminded professionals working together, making great strides for the wellbeing of children, youth, and families in Northwest Georgia.

Great meeting with the Northwest Georgia RESA Whole Child Collaborative. Jennifer Jolly shared some great information about Resilient Georgia and the work they do in Georgia. Also, as always, met some great people. Dalton Public Schools GA
