We had someone come share testimony with us after the Rome's Got Talent event.

She shared about how she had come to this event because a friend had invited her. She had never had any friends or close family in recovery or active substance abuse before, and knew very little on the topic.

After attending the event, hearing all the testimonies and all the real people in recovery on stage, she said "I get it. I get why this is so important!"

That's why events like Rome's Got Talent matter, because someone who came to see local talent also got to see a very important issue and see that

WOW! Rome's Got Talent was a hit! It was exciting to see the venue fill up and more seats have to be pulled out.

Our talents, judges, volunteers, sponsors and everyone else who helped make it possible are so deeply appreciated!

We had two awards to give out last night: Judges Choice and People's Choice

John Mulkey was our winner of Judges Choice as he debuted his original song inspired and dedicated to Brothers Place

Isaac Sellers was the Peoples Choice winner as he shared his writing that included his testimony and journey

It was a fantastic night that exceeded all of our expectations including in how much it helped fundraise to support Brothers Place's mission :)
