Honoring a Legend: Walk Like Woodie Day! 👟🤠🤖
On October 11, the FIRST community comes together for the Woodie Flowers Walk, celebrating the life, legacy, and incredible impact of Dr. Woodie Flowers. While Eco Robotics won’t be there in person this year, we are absolutely there in spirit, and we want to make sure our community has all the details to participate!
Dr. Woodie Flowers didn’t just help build FIRST—he defined its heart. He taught us the true meaning of Gracious Professionalism and Coopertetition, showing the world that fierce competition and fierce empathy can live side-by-side. Every time we step into the pit, collaborate with a rival team, or celebrate a breakthrough, we are carrying his legacy forward. ✨
Want to join the walk and honor Woodie? Here is everything you need to know:
📍 Event Info: [Broad Ripple Park in Indianapolis, Indiana]
📅 Date & Time: [October 11] at [12 PM EDT]
👕 What to Wear: Grab your favorite Dr. Woodie Flowers inspired gear whether that’s a button-down shirt, a fun tie, or your team jersey!
Let’s keep his spirit alive by walking the talk. If you are attending, drop your pictures below or tag us so we can cheer you on from afar! 👇

We had such a fun time celebrating the end of the season at our end of year potluck!

Looking back, it’s hard to believe how much we’ve accomplished this year. From great competitions and outreach events to earning another Spirit Award and Sustainability Award, it’s been a season full of hard work, growth, and plenty of memories along the way.

Thank you to our mentors, parents, volunteers, and supporters for everything you do for our team. We truly couldn’t do it without you.

And to our seniors, thank you for all the time, energy, leadership, and laughs you’ve brought to the team over the years. You’ve helped shape this team and set an incredible example for the students following in your footsteps. We’re going to miss you, but we’re excited to see where your next adventures take you. As one chapter comes to a close, we’re excited to see the next generation of team members step up, bring new ideas, and continue building on everything this team has worked so hard to create.

Thanks to everyone who helped make this season so special. Here’s to another great year of Eco Robotics! ❤️🌱
