📣 Attention small food retailers and small family farms! 📣

The Community Food Access program strives to increase access to and lower prices for healthy food in low income, low access areas of the state by supporting small food retailers and small family farms. Costly equipment purchases may be eligible for a refundable income tax credit equal to 75% of the amount spent. Equipment must help to increase access to or lower prices for healthy food in low income, low access and underserved areas of the state.

The first application deadline of 2026 is April 30th. Eligible businesses can submit applications for equipment purchased in the first four months of the year, as well as equipment purchased in 2025.

Join Our Library’s Summer Reading Program Team
The Rocky Ford Public Library is looking for enthusiastic teens (ages 14-18) to volunteer during our Summer Reading Program!
This is a great chance for teens to earn volunteer hours, build leadership skills, and make a real impact in the community.

🌟 What Teen Volunteers Do 🌟

▪️Help kids sign up for the Summer Reading Program

▪️Assist with events, crafts, and activities

▪️Hand out reading prizes

▪️Support library staff with program tasks

▪️Create a fun, welcoming environment for young readers

📅 When We Need Volunteers - June 5th, 12th & 26th 10am-12pm

We’ve got a big food delivery rolling in this morning at Small Town Project 🚛🍎🥫

We could really use a few extra hands to help us unload and get everything stocked for the pantry.

Big milestone at The Seed House today 🌱

We officially wrapped up the greenhouse and raised garden beds, and it’s looking incredible.

Huge thank you to Theo, Scott, Andrea, and Jeremiah for putting in the work today to bring this vision to completion. And thank you to everyone who contributed over the last few weeks.

Now the real fun begins. Next up: getting the beds filled with soil and mapping out what we’re planting this season. This space is not only going to grow food…it’s going to grow knowledge, opportunity, and connection for our kids, families, and community.
