From financial assistance to meals, special surprises, and community events, our Village was BUSY! 🥹

One last little act of kindness from our Trunk or Treat donations! ❤️

A HUGE thank you again to everyone who donated candy and toys! Because of your generosity, we were able to spread a little extra love to the NICU staff, volunteers, and mamas at Children’s Medical Center Dallas!

And to all the incredible nurses, doctors, respiratory therapists, and medical professionals who dedicate their lives to caring for our medically complex kiddos, THANK YOU! 🥹❤️ You hold a special place in the hearts of so many families, including mine.

It truly takes a village, and we’re so thankful for ours!

❤️ SOMEBODY COME GET LEIDY BECAUSE THIS WOMAN DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO DO THE BARE MINIMUM! 😂👏

Y’ALLLLLL. LOOK AT THIS SPREAD!!! 🤤😍

One of our sweet medical mamas welcomed a BEAUTIFUL baby boy just four weeks ago, and we wanted to give her a little break from the chaos of postpartum life by treating her family to a delicious, home-cooked meal!

Enter MEALS BY LEIDY. 👏❤️

Now, the original plan was simple. Feed the family. Give mama one less thing to worry about.

BUT APPARENTLY LEIDY DIDN’T GET THAT MEMO. 😂

After I shared a little background about our mama and her family, Leidy decided that just feeding them wasn’t nearly enough.

OH NO. SHE HAD PLANS. 💁‍♀️

Not only did she whip up an absolutely RIDICULOUS amount of delicious, freshly prepared food, but she ALSO put together an adorable Boo Basket filled with goodies just for mama AND little goodie bags with toys for all three of her kiddos!

And can we PLEASE take a moment to appreciate this menu?!

THE WOMAN BROUGHT OPTIONS, PEOPLE. OPTIONS!!! 😂👏

And everything was fresh, beautifully prepared, and made with so much love!

Leidy Estrada is a local Royse City mama who specializes in meal prepping, and if these pictures don’t convince you to check out her business, I genuinely don’t know what will. 🤤

But beyond the food, THIS is the kind of stuff that makes my heart so ridiculously happy.

A mama who is four weeks postpartum, juggling a newborn and two other kiddos, got to enjoy a delicious meal she didn’t have to cook, dishes she didn’t have to prepare, and a few special surprises just for her and her babies.

And when the mama shared afterward how special and cared for she felt?

THAT. RIGHT. THERE. 🥹❤️

That’s what Medical Mom Village is all about.

Sometimes supporting a medical mama means helping with groceries or gas. Sometimes it means showing up with fajitas, cookies, and enough love to make somebody cry happy tears.

Remember our Medical Mom Makeover and Photoshoot Giveaway?! Well, we’ve finally received one of the beautiful photos from our winner, Ashley Kumar, and we are absolutely SPEECHLESS!

But as stunning as this photo is, it’s what Ashley shared with us afterward that really makes our hearts melt. 🥹❤️

After her makeover and photoshoot, Ashley sent us this message:

Medical moms spend so much of their lives taking care of everyone else. Between appointments, therapies, hospital stays, and the everyday responsibilities of motherhood, it’s easy to forget what it feels like to have a moment that’s entirely about YOU.

And that’s why we are SO incredibly thankful for Michelle Taylor Portraits, who generously donated this beautiful portrait experience to one of our medical mamas!

🎄🧡 FROM SPOOKY SEASON TO CHRISTMAS CHEER! 🎄🧡

Whew! We JUST wrapped up an amazing Halloween Trunk or Treat event, and we’re already jumping into planning our next adventure! 😂❤️

On Friday, December 18th, Medical Mom Village will be participating in the Inclusive Christmas Party, hosted by AccessAbility First Foundation: North East Texas in Greenville, TX! 🎅🎁

And we’re bringing a little Village magic with us!

🏠🎄 BUILD YOUR VILLAGE: CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT STATION!

We’ll have adorable little wooden house ornaments that the kiddos can decorate with markers, stickers, gems, and all kinds of fun goodies! Each child will get to create their very own little “village” to take home and hang on their Christmas tree. 🥹❤️

It’s simple, fun, and inclusive for children of different abilities!

And this is where we could use a little help from OUR Village! 🫶

Rather than creating an Amazon Wishlist this time around, we’ve been busy pricing out supplies and found that we can actually get the most bang for our buck by shopping in person at Dollar Tree and Hobby Lobby! 🛒🎨

So instead of asking for supplies to be purchased and shipped to us, we’re asking our wonderful community to consider making a financial donation to help us bring our Christmas ornament station to life! 🎄✨

Whether it’s $5, $10, or $20, every little bit helps us create something special for these kiddos!

And if we happen to raise more than we need for supplies? DON’T WORRY! Not a penny will go to waste! 🧡

We’ve seen an increase in requests for grocery assistance from medical families lately, so any remaining funds will go right back into supporting our Village mamas who could use a little extra help putting food on the table.

One way or another, your generosity will be making a difference for medical families. ❤️

Y’all, we have some pretty incredible women in our Village, and today I want to brag on one of them! 🥹❤️

Meet Sadie Burk! 🫶

Sadie is not only one of our amazing Medical Mom Village volunteers and monthly donors, but she’s also a fellow medical mama AND a licensed professional counselor!

And as if she wasn’t already wearing enough hats, SHE’S NOW A PUBLISHED AUTHOR! 📚👏

🎃👻 WE HAD A WICKED GOOD TIME TODAY! 🧡

Medical Mom Village had an absolute BLAST at the Halloween celebration hosted by Amazing Little Hearts at Medical City Dallas Children’s!

And let me tell you, these little heart warriors were BREWING up some serious fun! 🧙‍♀️😂

Our Toss the Eyes in the Cauldron game was a HUGE hit! 👀🎃 These kiddos were tossing eyeballs like little pros, and thanks to everyone who donated candy and toys, we had enough goodies to keep the prizes flowing ALL morning!

Unlimited turns. Unlimited prizes. Zero tricks. ALL treats! 🍬😂

Seriously, THANK YOU to everyone who donated! Because of your generosity, we got to spoil these little warriors rotten, and seeing their excitement was worth every single eyeball tossed! 🥹🧡

Beyond all the Halloween shenanigans, we had such a wonderful time meeting medical families and connecting with other organizations who share our love for this community. There’s something pretty magical about bringing people together who understand just how much these little moments mean. ❤️

And a HUGE shoutout to our Village girls, Natalia Nagy and RaisingKinleys! 🧡 These two really stirred up the fun today! They made our setup adorable, kept the good times brewing, and represented our Village beautifully! We couldn’t have asked for a better duo!

Last but certainly not least, THANK YOU to Amazing Little Hearts for inviting us to be part of such a fun celebration! We loved every minute of it!

Our cauldron may be empty now, but our hearts are FULL! 🥹🎃❤️

Another day, another medical mama getting a little love from our Village! 🧡🫶

Today, we were able to help another single medical mama with a grocery gift card!

And when I told her I hoped it would help ease some of the financial stress, even if just a little, she responded:

“Trust me, this is more than just a little.” 🥹

Y’ALL. MY HEART.

I think sometimes we underestimate just how much something as simple as groceries can mean to a family who’s already stretched so thin.

And that’s exactly why I started Medical Mom Village.

Not to change the whole world overnight. Not to do anything big or fancy. Just to create a community of people who genuinely give a damn about these families and are willing to show up for them.

And today, we got to do that again. 🧡

Every single time we’re able to help another mama, I’m reminded that this little Village we’re building is turning into something pretty freaking special.

And I couldn’t do any of it without the people who believe in what we’re doing.

So thank you for helping me love on these mamas. 🧡🫶

Earlier this week, I sent one of our Medical Mom Village mamas a grocery gift card.

Nothing extravagant. Just a little something to hopefully make life a little easier.

And then I got these emails.

She thanked me once. And then came back and thanked me AGAIN.

And my heart. 😭❤️

Because here’s the thing.

I know a grocery gift card isn’t going to change her circumstances. It’s not going to fix everything she’s going through. But maybe it means she doesn’t have to worry about groceries this week. Maybe it gives her just a LITTLE breathing room when life feels like too much.

And sometimes, that’s everything.

I think people underestimate just how much the smallest acts of kindness can mean to someone who’s barely keeping their head above water.

Especially our medical mamas.

We can’t fix everything. God, I wish we could.

But we can show up. We can love on these families. We can remind a mama who’s having an incredibly difficult time that somebody sees her, somebody cares, and she isn’t doing this alone.

And THAT is why I started Medical Mom Village.

Not for the thank-yous. Not for recognition.

But because I know what it’s like to be the mama who desperately needs someone to show up.

And if we can make even ONE mama’s day a little less heavy, then every bit of what we’re doing is worth it.

Sometimes it’s not about changing someone’s life. Sometimes it’s just about making today a little easier.

And that matters, too. ❤️
