Today, we attended a very special high school graduation. Fourteen years ago, a family walked through Chrysalis Autism Center’s doors seeking support for their child. Like many families, they didn’t know exactly what the future would hold. They simply knew their doctor had recommended ABA therapy, and the journey began.

Together, the family and Chrysalis spent countless hours building language and behavioral skills. Shaping those “getting ready to learn” skills. Building success for the next step in the journey.

When it was time to transition to school, the family continued to passionately advocate for their child. Always thankful for the foundation that had been built through early intensive behavioral intervention.

Today, we were honored to be a part of the next step in this family’s journey. As adulthood approaches we are grateful to have played a small role along the way.

Congratulations, graduate! 🎓🦋

🔅South Carolina’s H.3974 has officially passed — creating a clearer path for private ABA providers to deliver medically necessary autism services in public schools. This expands access, strengthens parent rights, and increases collaboration between schools and providers.

This Memorial Day, we remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. We also hold close the families who continue forward carrying their love, sacrifice, and memories every day.

From all of us at Chrysalis Autism Center, thank you for the freedoms we are blessed with because of their courage. 🇺🇸

📸 It’s Photo Friday! 📸

Fridays are for sharing smiles, special moments, and a little behind-the-scenes look at life in our ABA center 💙

This week, we’re throwing it back to our most recent Spirit Week. A fun-filled week of dress-up days, laughter, connection, and lots of memorable moments with our learners and staff. We love creating a space where learning and fun go hand in hand!

Photo Friday is our new favorite tradition, and we can’t wait to keep sharing the moments that make our center so special each week. ✨

Swipe through for some of this week’s highlights! 📷

We’re grateful to A.M.E. Special Needs & Abilities Ministry for the opportunity to share about Chrysalis Autism Center 💙
Due to a last minute change, one of our BCBAs, Angie Moore, stepped in to present and did a wonderful job sharing about autism and ABA treatment and how we support our learners and their families.
We’re thankful to be part of a conversation focused on building understanding in our communities.

🌱 Meet the Team Monday: Kendal Ball, RBT II 🌱

We are so excited to kick off our monthly Staff Spotlight series, and there is no better place to start than with Kendal Ball!

Kendal joined the Chrysalis family almost one year ago (May marks her one year anniversary!) straight from her role as a Resident Advisor at Marshall University. She had researched ABA during undergrad, interviewed with us, and packed up her life to move here. This was her very first full time job in the field, and she says it has been even better than she expected.

When asked what moment at Chrysalis makes her most proud, Kendal did not hesitate: watching one of her learners spontaneously start naming the days of the week and months of the year on their own. ❤️🧩

"I feel like I am a steppingstone in their future."

One thing she wishes more people knew about Chrysalis? The incredible support you receive from your supervisors. And her personal value she carries into every session? Be kind to everyone.

Outside of work, you will find Kendal playing volleyball, cooking, or hanging out with her two cats. 🏐🐱🐱

And we just must share some exciting news: Kendal begins Graduate School on April 15th, pursuing her MS in ABA on her path to becoming a BCBA! 🎉 But honestly, she is already well on her way. Kendal holds the RBT II designation at Chrysalis, which recognizes team members who have completed formal training in Skills-Based Teaching, bring 6 or more months of ABA experience, and have demonstrated consistent dedication to their clients' therapy. We could not be prouder to cheer her on! 🎓

Kendal, we are so grateful you chose Chrysalis. Here is to one year and many more!

We had such a great time celebrating the season with our Chrysalis team at our staff holiday party 🎄

A huge thank you to Richie's Italian Bistro at Riverwalk for the delicious food — it was a hit with everyone — and to Rock Hill Trivia for keeping us laughing, thinking, and just competitive enough to make it fun 🧠😂

We’re so grateful for opportunities like this to slow down, connect, and celebrate the people who make Chrysalis what it is. Thank you to our local Rock Hill businesses for helping make the night special!
