One concern “Where is the unity of Bhutanese Youths in Rochester?” This is not just my question and concern. To be honest, this is the concern of most of the Bhutanese youths in Rochester and it comes from all of us. Who wouldn’t like to see ourselves being in a better community? Who wouldn’t like to see we getting help and helping other? It’s all up to us, all Bhutanese Youths in Rochester how we
can answer this question and the way we can take this question, both positively and negatively. In order to answer this question in better way, most of my friends and I decided to open one social networking group, “Bhutanese Youths Glowing in Rochester.” We the typical High School students, College students, and all the youths from Rochester and we would like to open a friendly facebook, social networking group, “Bhutanese Youths Glowing in Rochester.”
Short-term objectives-
1) To promote our identity and culture so the world could see who we are and how we get up to here.
2) To share our opinions, ideas, and knowledge and help each other to understand each other better. “Sharing is Caring”
3) To give respects and sights to any issues and challenges that we are facing being in the new world, USA we’ve never thought of coming.
4) Organizing meeting every week or so. This way we can spread our words, concerns and Issues and solve them accordingly.
5) To preserve our skills, talents, and cultures we might want to consider organizing cultural show or cultural program during the time of festivals. Long-term objectives-
1) To form a strong Bhutanese Community in Rochester, which we all wants to see in future.
2) To bring a positive change in our community so if we want to see the change we have to be the change first.
3) And many more that we could figure it out later……………………..…!! What we are not
1) We are not any religious group. We are just a friendly Bhutanese Youths of Rochester.
2) We are not any political group so we think politics doesn’t even exist in this group.
3) We are not a group seeking for profit. Instead, we are seeking for the better way to preserve and promote our culture, identity and values. Therefore, lets glow all the Bhutanese Youths in Rochester. Remember to bring a change in our community we have to start from ourselves and we have to be the change first. This is just my point of view plus the concerns of many of my Bhutanese friends @ Rochester. I would like to encourage all Bhutanese Youths of Rochester to be a member of this group and contribute their thoughts, concerns, and issues. It would be great if everybody would spare their important time to read this post and share their opinions based on any points mentioned above:-!! Thanks,
