Husbands, are you ready to d*e?

It sounds dramatic, but Ephesians 5 is clear: Husbands are to love their wives "just as Christ loved the church."

And what did Christ do? He gave His life.

Pastor Dustin challenges men: "I don't mean in like some metaphorical sense... I mean literally you should d*e for your wife. And so that happens a little bit day by day".

What does this look like practically?
• Working hard so your family can flourish.
• Driving the car you don’t like because it fits the car seats.
• Sleeping on the side of the bed closest to the door to protect her.

Biblical leadership isn't about being "the boss." It's about being the first one to serve and the first one to sacrifice.

Why is marriage so hard? It might be "The Curse." 🍎

We often think we are just arguing about dishes or schedules, but the Bible goes deeper. In Genesis 3, after the Fall, a curse was placed on humanity that specifically attacks marriage.

The Bible says the result of sin is that the wife will desire to control her husband, and the husband will struggle to rule over the wife.

As Pastor Dustin explains, "All of us are born into this curse... The failure of Adam is not just in eating the fruit, but in failing to do the things that God gave him to do."

But the Gospel gives us a way out. We don’t have to live in the power struggle of the curse. We are called to a better way—serving one another out of reverence for Christ.

Pastor Dustin and Jayme team teach in this special message for husbands, wives, single men, single women, and children.

Think of the image of God like a masterpiece painting that has been stored in a dusty attic for years.

Though the dust and grime may hide the vibrant colors and details, the original artist's work is still underneath it all.

The process of following Christ is like a careful restoration, where the Master's hand gently cleans away the debris to reveal the beauty and value that was there from the very beginning.

Do you feel broken, bent, or covered in the mud of life?

The image of God in us is like a silver fork or a gold coin covered in dirt; the value and the image are never lost, only tarnished.

Through sanctification, the Lord begins to wash off the junk so we can look like what He originally intended.

No matter how rough around the edges you feel, the Master knows your true worth and is working to make you more like Jesus every day.

Our Story

Whether you actually rope cattle or wrangle your company's budget, everyone is welcome at Old West Cowboy Church! Plenty of us wear jeans and boots, but flip flops or loafers are just as good. Ultimately, it's all about Jesus! We'd love for you to come worship with us on Sunday mornings at 10 a.m. Doors open at 9:30 for coffee, donuts, and "meetin' & greetin'". We also have men’s and women’s bible study group that meets on the second Tuesday of every month. We have special events every month, and most of them involve what we call a "Flatbed Feast" afterwards (hint: It's delicious!). Check out our page for updates on upcoming events!
