Hey y'all we were donated Luna umbrella cockatoo about 10 weeks ago and within those 10 weeks she's had 4 surgeries to correct a prolapse. Well were were told by our vet if this time didn't take that he wanted to send her to veterinarian specialist in Louisiana and it would probably be expensive or we might have to consider possibly putting her down if it continues to pop out. All is starting to pop out again. We've followed all his instructions but he's thinking muscle memory is working against us because she had a chronic condition before we got her. I don't want to put her down she's one of the sweetest birds you'll ever meet and loves SpongeBob and sings it lol. She absolutely loves everyone and goes to anyone. Tj and I have been fun sing this rescue out of our own pockets and all the veterinarian bills also. So we could really use some help raising the money to get her there as soon as possible. It would also help if y'all could share this for us to. I love Luna and I've become very attached to her and it breaks my heart to see her go thru all this. We would be forced thankful for any help given. Thanks y'all we greatly appreciate it.

Hey y'all since I had back surgery I'm not allowed to do pretty much anything for 3 months or more depending. We have a bunch of events coming up including the Havana nights salsa festival tomorrow and the pumpkin festival at Gary's Brewery and Biergarten next weekend. If anyone could help volunteer and help us with these events ,(setup, help take care of the birds while we're there, talk to people that come and help get our mission out about what we're about and what we're doing) we could really use the help. We were invited last weekend to bring a few of our birds to the Bear Point Poker Run in Gulf shores. Here are some photos from their pirate fest theme event. Thanks Josh and Christa for having us. Come out Sept 26th for the Havana nights event at the Maritime Park in Pensacola. Jessica just shared this with us and I'm sharing it to y'all. Come out have a fun time, enjoy the food and meet our precious birds. We hope to see y'all there. If your interested in a pre order shirt it's on their website and ours for $15 but the night of the event they'll be $20. Im putting this post out because we need some medium size cages with and without legs and wheels. If anyone has any they'd be willing to donate we can give you a tax donation slip for your taxes. We could also use newspaper, or the rolls of paper you get for painting houses for the bottom of their cages. We have an account on the charities section of chewy with a wishlist of things we could use. Cage cleaning spray products is always needed and welcome. Any donations are very much appreciated and needed and we will like I said give you a receipt for your taxes. Thanks y'all

I feel so so bad I had to drop Luna off at the vets office for them to see if they can fix the prolapse one more time. I love them. I called this morning to talk to them about it and was told to bring her right down. Dr Schreiber is gonna talk to me later when I pick her up about sending her to an avian specialist possibly in Louisiana because she was fixed so many times in the past before we got her that the muscle memory is use to it dropping. I love my Luna and I'm so upset right now because she's the sweetest bird and doesn't deserve this.
