ONLY A FEW SPOTS LEFT THIS SUN, NOV 1, 11am-1pm: Native Plant Seed Collection & Sowing Workshop!

Increase your backyard habitat and enhance ecosystem stewardship through native seed collection. In this introductory seminar, learn how to responsibly collect, sow, and germinate seeds from a variety of local plant species, from meadow herbs to trees. When we learn how to grow plants, there is limitless potential for us to make positive impacts to the ecology around us.

A portion of the program is indoors for an interactive presentation, and a portion is a walk outside. Participants will get to sow some collected seeds in containers to bring home.

A little humor for International Bat Week! 🦇 🤣 🖤

10/27/2026

SUNDAY, NOV 8 & DEC 13
🌲 Come explore a new way of walking through the forest! Forest bathing has been shown to help decrease stress levels and anxiety, and helps improve the immune system and symptoms of depression, to name a few benefits.
☕️ At the end of our walk, we'll sample a tea made from pine and spruce needles foraged on the Weis property, with some seasonal variations throughout the year. The tea is a way of tasting and taking in the land to further connecting us to nature and ourselves.
