Since 2006, Fields of Grace volunteers have harvested and delivered over 3 million pounds of produce from residents, farmers, and farmers market vendors for local Columbia Basin food banks. Since 2006, Fields of Grace has harvested more than 2.5 million pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables for families and seniors in need.

THANK YOU The Home Depot of West Richland (Josh and Ron) for your donation of 40 buckets to help us in harvesting fresh food for local food banks! This donation comes at a high need when our current bucket inventory has dwindled and a large harvest takes place tomorrow.

Calling Volunteers for Friday, November 6th at 9:30am at an apple orchard in Benton City. We have 16 large apple bins to fill for food banks who will be driving their own trucks to haul their donations. We need many hands to help harvest and make heavy work light! Once we are finished volunteers may rescue apples for themselves. This orchard will not be harvested and the farm wants to keep the trees healthy by picking the fruit!

It’s time to shine a light on this fella!! Gary Middleton has been a supporter of Fields of Grace since day one! Our very first glean took place on his orchard in 2006. He sat on our board of directors for many years and encouraged farmers to share their excess crops with those in need. Today Gary continues to make our mission a success in a new way, as one of the field directors at WSU commercial vegetable research plots he is vocal about getting food that would otherwise be tilled under into our harvesting hands and out to local food banks! Together we can make a difference in our community! Thanks a million Gary!
