10/05/2026

Beyond Karate has been invited to join USA Karate Para Division. What an honor and recognition. Now, Beyond Karate karatekas have a path open to be recognized, trained, mentored by and compete with the best in the country and the world.

I'm very grateful to:
- Tom Scott Karate for his recommendation and continued support since 2018.
- Sasha Gerritson of USA Karate, Team Leader & Vice President of International Relations.
- Sensei Jeffrey Kohn, recognized as the best coach in the nation, for his mentorship.
- Karate Can-Do foundation for its generosity!

Amazing celebration this week at Beyond Karate! Two students achieved the rank of Shodan: 1st degree black belt: Evan Nguen and John Gee. So incredibly proud of them.
Perseverance, focus, hard work, consistency, respect, discipline and sill - is what black belt is about and both Evan & John exemplify those values. Sarah Quynh Tram David Gee
