The Sam Bish Foundation

The Sam Bish Foundation For 375 days, Sam showed us what it is to be a true JEDI. . . May he rest in Peace and soar in glory. He was on this earth for 3,494 days. . .

His smile is contagious and we're gonna make sure everyone catches it!! We are a non profit organization so we rely on many donations so that we can continue our services to help families with a pediatric cancer diagnosis. If you would like to send a donation to the Sam Bish Foundation you can send it to the P.O. Box 323, Reynodlsburg, Ohio 43068 address. We always accept gift card donations as we

ll that we pass out to the families facing a pediatric cancer diagnosis. Gift cards can be for gasoline, Visa gift cards- that can be used for gasoline or food), grocery gift cards (local stores are Kroger, Giant Eagle, Walmart, Meijer, Target), Restaurant Gift Cards -there is a Subway in Nationwide Children's Hospital). These gift cards bless the families in so many ways as they struggle through this diagnosis. Thank you for your continued support.

Today is Sam's birthday. He would have turned 24 years old today. Our family has spent the day remembering our sweet boy and doing some things that he would have enjoyed doing. We have also reflected on the past 14 years and the wonderful work that the Sam Bish Foundation has been able to do in the pediatric cancer community. We are forever grateful for the impact we have been able to make in Sam's memory because of the generous support of our donors, volunteers and all that have supported the foundation from the very beginning. Thank you to everyone that has had a part in helping us to honor Sam's legacy in such an impactful way.

Today, we would like to announce that assets from The Sam Bish Foundation will be transferred to the ownership of NC4K (Nellie’s Champions for Kids). Also based in Columbus, NC4K is a nonprofit with a mutual mission of providing financial and emotional support to families facing a pediatric cancer diagnosis. The team at NC4K shares our focus on working closely with the families they serve in order to ensure that “No Kid Fights Cancer Alone.”

We are confident that NC4K will be successful in incorporating resources from The Sam Bish Foundation to make a difference in the lives of kids fighting cancer, and we encourage you to consider continuing your support of childhood cancer families by supporting NC4K. NC4K offers many ways to get involved, including making a donation, volunteering at a family event, and hosting gift and supply drives. You can learn more about NC4K and how to get involved at nc4k.org. You can also follow them on Facebook at NC4K and Instagram at instagram.com/nc4k.

Once again, we are incredibly grateful for your kindness and generosity for the last fourteen years. Thank you for helping us continue Sam’s legacy and provide hope, support, and smiles for kids like him. We know that we will see Sam’s light continue to shine through the smiles of kids and families supported by NC4K in the years to come.

In honor of our beautiful boys birthday tomorrow where he would have been turning 24 years old, I'm sharing a few pictures of our Sam.....some which I have never shared before. I allowed myself to go down memory lane this morning and it was good for my heart. I am forever grateful for the 9 beautiful years that God blessed us to be Sam's parents. I am also incredibly thankful for the Sam Bish Foundation which has allowed us to help so many families over the last 14 years while honoring our sons memory and helping to heal our hearts. Please say Sam's name tomorrow, pay it forward, share his story and remember our son. ♥️🎗🦋

Stay tuned for an announcement tomorrow from the Sam Bish Foundation as we strive to continue to honor Sam's legacy and help others fighting pediatric cancer.

Remembering our beautiful and brave son today and always. 14 years ago he left our arms and entered the arms of Jesus after a 1 year fight against Osteosarcoma bone cancer. For 14 years our family along with many friends and supporters have tried to do our best to honor Sam's legacy through the Sam Bish Foundation. I am so proud of all of the lives we have been able to touch over the years in Sam's memory.

While some changes are on the horizon for the foundation that we will update at a later time, we continue to operate as a non profit, honor referrals for families fighting cancer here in Ohio, and continue to make an impact the best that we can. We truly appreciate everyone that has come alongside us over the years and that continue to support the foundation and the pediatric cancer families that we help. Thank you for continuing to help us make a difference in Sam's precious memory.

Sam would be 23 years old now but forever will be 9 years old in our memories and in our heart. We often think about what he would be doing with his life. His 2 sisters are all grown up. Aubrey is 20 and is in college and Caitlin is 17 and is entering her senior year of high school. I know Sam would be so proud of both of them.

For those that have texted, called or messaged us today, thank you for remembering our son and our family. Thank you for speaking Sam's name to our family. It means the world to us that he is remembered.

Tomorrow, January 25th our Sam would have been turning 23 years old. The last birthday we got to celebrate with our son was his 9th birthday. We think about him and miss him every day and often think about the young man he would be today.
For over 13 years we have tried to honor him the best way we could by blessing others. Though things have been quiet with the foundation over the last several months, we continue to accept referrals and help as many pediatric cancer families as we can. The future of the foundation is being thought of and prayed about, and we are looking at a few different options. We appreciate those that continue to support us, remember Sam and speak his name to our family.
Please remember Sam tomorrow on what would have been his 23rd birthday. Share his story, say his name and make a donation if you feel led to the foundation. Sam you are remembered and missed. Happy 23rd birthday in Heaven my.son.

The world lost a bright light in Ally. Ally bravely fought Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma for 6 years and God called her home on the 13th of November. Ally was known for so many things including her love of Taylor Swift and being a fierce advocate for childhood cancer and more funding/better treatments. Please keep Ally's family in your thoughts and prayers as well as all that knew and loved Ally. Today is Ally's celebration of life service and I know her life will continue to be remembered and celebrated for a long time to come.

After living with a rare soft tissue cancer for 5 years, Ally Anderson died on Nov. 13, just months after receiving the '22' hat from Taylor Swift at her July concert in Cincinnati

In honor and memory of beautiful Allie and her life well lived and her brave battle against Leukemia. Please pray for Allie's family and friends and all that knew and loved her. Please say Allie's name, share her page and tell someone about pediatric cancer and the many amazing brave warriors that fight every single day.

Alyiah Shae “Ally” Litzke, age 14, of Marysville, ran and leaped into the arms of Jesus on Friday, September 1, 2023, after a long ,courageous battle with Leukemia.

Despite all of the health challenges that she faced, Ally lived life to the fullest with infectious joy and tenacity.

We grieve her absence on this earth but rejoice in her ultimate healing. We grieve greatly because we loved her so deeply! What a gift we were given to “Get To” love and care for her.

Her s***k, sass, determination, courage, and love of siracha endeared her to everyone. To know Ally was to love her. Ally loved music, arts and crafts, Annie and first and foremost, spending time with her family. But what Ally loved doing more than anything was singing and worshipping. She was considered by many of the hospital staff as the worship leader on the 12th Floor at Children’s. Her spirit and her joy shined through her beautiful smile. Our beloved daughter will always remain forever in our hearts.

She was born November 19, 2008 in Yerevan, Armenia. In Heaven, she joins her brothers, Noah and Christian Litzke; and her grandparents, Bill Litzke and Houston and Betty Jo Green. She is survived by her parents, Dave and Mandy Litzke of Marysville; her siblings, Jami (Alex), Morgan (Luke), Kendal, Maria (Bryan), Chase, Molly, Megan, Bryce, Kiara, Joy, Sophie, Devon, Paige and DJ; her grandmother, Lora Litzke; her aunts, Shelly (Nick) Oehlers, DeDe (Bobby) Forte and Beth (Joe) Donia; and many other loved ones, members of “Ally’s Army” and scores and scores of prayer warriors who were impacted by her without ever meeting her personally.

We will never know, this side of Heaven, the tremendous impact that Ally had on countless lives.

We all will forever be reminded of Ally whenever we hear… “I’ll just stick out my chin and grin and say, THE SUN WILL COME OUT TOMORROW…”

Ally’s Celebration of Life will be held at Living Hope Church, 16701 Square Drive, Marysville with visitation on Friday, September 8, 2023 from 6 to 8 p.m. and where the memorial service will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. Pastors Jason McDonald, Bob Flint and Phil Krause will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be made in Ally’s memory to “Hope4EveryChild” and will be distributed to the many organizations that supported Ally and family in her journey.

Underwood Funeral Home is assisting the family. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.underwoodfuneralhome.com.
