Giving Tuesday is all about the person responsible for opening my heart to do what Heart Hope Heroes does - making more "normal" days for Congenital Heart Disease (CHD) families. We knew Payton had a hole in her heart, like me, in her first week of life. Later to find out it was tetralogy of fallot, and she flatlined before her 10week birthday. Payton is reminded that she is a miracle, and she is destined for great things. As an honorary Aunt, I love to remind her how special she is, and I *may* sugar her up before Mom realizes.

HHH wants to make sure these warriors know their value. These kids, young and younger, are more than their diagnosis or any label. CHD kids are kids too, and we assist to remind them that as well from sponsoring summer camp to swimming parties to their first pizza.

Well, Heart Hope Heroes is sponsoring a month for the siblings program for Beads of Courage. See- mental and behavioral health are key components for a healthy lifestyle, especially in CHD. As I always say, CHD is a familial journey. Siblings are our biggest cheerleaders, and HHH wants them to know how important and special they are.
