We are deeply saddened by the sudden loss of Mayor Barry Whitly. 💔

He was more than a leader, he was a friend to our community and a true supporter of our children. We will always remember the time he spent reading to our kids at City Hall, sharing his heart and helping inspire young minds.

Mayor Whitly will forever be a part of the Family Connections family, and his kindness and impact will not be forgotten.

Please keep his family and the Butler community in your thoughts and prayers. 🤍

A day planted with purpose… and picked full of smiles 🍓✨

Taylor County Family Connection was proud to host a berry exciting field trip at The Strawberry Patch at Taylor Orchards in partnership with Taylor County Primary School and the Reynolds Woman’s Club. With 85+ first graders joining us, the day was bursting with hands-on fun—picking fresh strawberries 🍓, enjoying sweet ice cream 🍦, and diving into stories that brought learning to life 📚.

These bright young minds showed off their creativity through “life cycle of a strawberry” projects—proving they’re growing just as beautifully as the berries themselves 🌱➡️🍓. A few even took home some big winnings 💵 for their impressive knowledge!

And just when we thought it couldn’t get any sweeter… a special appearance by Patch and Miss Georgia Strawberry Queen added that extra sparkle to an already unforgettable day 👑✨
