The RCA is looking for donations for the 4th of July Parade event

we have 2 options

1. Donate pies/home baked goods to the pie sales
2. Donate for the ducky derby race!!! Gift certificates, items, whatever you have we’d appreciate it!!! We are non profit and it would be a tax wright off!!!

If you can’t do either a cash donation always helps!!!

Just FYI let’s be safe out there and keep our town from going up in smoke, follow the rules and educate anyone who may not be or doesn’t know, we are officially in stage 1 as of 12PM

YES!!!! WE ARE HAVING THE ANNUAL REDSTONE 4th of JULY CELEBRATION and PARADE!!!!!!

Here’s a few things you need to know

1. A list of events, activities and times will be available with some flyers at the several community boards and business in the coming weeks

2. Parking will be severely limited this year PLEASE CARPOOL!!! And plan ahead there will be parking at elk park, theRedstone Inn fishing lot, and the north side of Coal Basin Rd. NO PARKING ON HWY 133 or NORTH BOULEVARD. Access to the boulevard will be through elk park and across the pedestrian bridge

3. The boulevard will have a hard closure at 9:45AM due to safety of pedestrians in town, the closure will begin at the Redstone Campground. No entrance after 9:45AM except for emergency vehicles!!! This is per the PitCo Sheriff and Pitkin County Special Events if you have friends/family coming into town to park at your home they will need to be there prior to 9:45AM the closure will last until crowds die down
4. Parade will begin at the Redstone Inn, floats will go down the boulevard and then exit town,
5. Bike decorating for kids starts at 10AM (Redstone Inn), pie sales and ducky derby begin 9:45AM (Redstone Museum) line dancing at Ron’s Rink (10:30-11:30AM), Parade begins 12PM (Boulevard), concert in the park 1:30 PM, water fights 1:30/2ish (propaganda pie)
6. We ask that all floats sign up at the link below so we have your contact info and can give you specifications on how the parade will work
7. Volunteers are always needed you can also sign up to volunteer at the link below.

Thank you all for the understanding!!!! The south bridge closure this year has given us a bit of an obstacle but we’re doing our best to make this a great celebration!!!!

With the south bridge closure this year we are asking anyone who would like to put a float in the parade to sign up at this link, this way we have your information and we can send you the details to make this as easy as possible. We will be closing the north bridge access at 9:45AM, if you are late we will not allow you access, so floats will need to be in redstone either early morning or night before

Please sign up so we can send you the details and have an idea of number of floats we have!!!! Thank you for your understanding as we make our 250 years USA and 150 years Colorado our best parade yet even with the obstacles!!!!

4th of July is a GO!!!!!
Schedule will be official after the June 2 RCA Meeting

The boulevard WILL BE SHUT DOWN to all vehicle traffic prior and after the parade until the streets clear. This will shut down to ALL ENTRANCE except emergency vehicles!!!!

Parade is planned for 12PM
Pie sales, ducky derby, water fights are all a go!!!!

Let’s make Redstone RED WHITE AND BLUE for the 250 years of the USA!!!! Decorate your homes, businesses everything!!!!

The Redstone Bridge repair is likely to meet all 25 days of its early completion incentive with a milestone reached this week.

Thank you to the several Volunteers who have came out to help clean up Redstone and Hwy 133 the passed couple weekends!!!! We love a clean community and thank those who took some free time to make Redstone look even better before the summer!!

If you see some trash up and down the boulevard please don’t be afraid to pick it up.

Note: the RCA has a couple Bear resistant metal trash containers that can be offered to any local or business for use by the general public. These containers would need to be maintained by the person/business that has them but may help cut dow ln trash along the boulevard as well as the amount of trash at the Redstone Park. This is new for CO and everyone in the community needs to be aware of it and read it.

Colorado lawmakers officially passed HB26-1342 this week, approving a new bear-attractant enforcement bill after removing one of the strongest parts of the original proposal.

Do you have a person in mind that you think should be the Grand Marshall for the Redstone 4th of July Parade??? You can nominate someone for consideration!!!!
