Grab your tickets now for a festive evening of live jazz, prohibition-style cocktails, live music and games. The password-protected secret door opens on October 3 at 5 pm, and the secret location will only be revealed to ticket holders.

Your $100 ticket, available at https://www.drycanyonarts.org is more than just entry to the most vibrant party of the season. Every dollar directly funds our programs, art education, and new classroom renovations. By joining the celebration, you are directly investing in the creative growth of our community.

This September, Dry Canyon Arts Association is proud to feature Julie K. Miller, an artist whose work listens closely to horses, landscapes, and the quiet moments between them.

Julie’s paintings and drawings hold the beauty of Western life with both skill and tenderness. Her horses are not simply subjects. They feel like companions, teachers, and partners in a silent conversation. Their muscles, movement, expressions, and stillness all carry meaning.

Her work will be on display throughout September at the Dry Canyon Community Art Center, with a special celebration during First Friday Art Walk on Friday, September 4, from 5 to 8 pm.

Come spend time with Julie’s art and let it remind you that beauty is not always loud. Sometimes it lowers its head to drink, waits under a big sky, or moves quietly beside us.

First Friday just got a little more creative!

Join us at the Dry Canyon Community Art Center during First Friday Art Walk on Friday, September 4 for Sip and Paint: A Beautiful Botanical with Karin Harris.

From 5:30 to 7:30 pm, Karin will guide you through a welcoming, all-levels painting experience inspired by a beautiful botanical design. Supplies are included, so all you need to bring is yourself, your curiosity, and maybe a friend to share the evening with.

It’s a perfect way to enjoy the Art Walk: visit the gallery, meet local artists, explore downtown Redmond, and make a piece of your own while you’re here.

Join us Friday, September 4 from 5 to 8 pm for First Friday Art Walk and spend the evening exploring local shops, meeting artists, and finding something beautiful for your home, your office, or someone you love.

September’s First Friday is calling.

Join us Friday, September 4 from 5 to 8 pm for an evening of art, downtown exploring, and local connection in Redmond.

Pop into participating shops, meet the artists behind the work, ask about their process, and take your time discovering pieces that feel just right for your space. A painting for the entryway, a handmade piece for a shelf, a gift with a real story behind it, you never know what you’ll find until you wander in.

First Friday Art Walk is a great excuse to shop local, support Central Oregon artists, and make a night of it downtown.

Bring a friend, visit your favorite businesses, and keep your eyes open for the piece that wants to come home with you.

We want you! and your art.

Dry Canyon Community Art Center is putting out a call for artwork made by Central Oregon veterans, active military members, and first responders.

Artists have until September 4 to sign up. Both 2D and 3D art will be accepted, and the show will run September 30 through November 28, 2026 at the Dry Canyon Community Art Center.

This exhibit is a chance to honor the creative voices of those who serve and have served, while giving our community a place to see their stories, experiences, skills, and imagination through art.

Ready to make something totally charming?

Art classes at the Dry Canyon Community Art Center are all about trying new things, learning with friendly instructors, and enjoying the simple satisfaction of making something by hand. You don’t need experience, just curiosity and a willingness to have a little fun with the process.

One upcoming favorite is Charming Hen Pincushion with Tammy McCullough on Thursday, August 27 from 10 am to 12 pm. In this beginner-friendly needle-felting workshop, you’ll create one plump, happy hen from wool and take home a one-of-a-kind pincushion, complete with a ceramic egg cup and straight pins.

Tammy will guide you through the basics of sculptural needle felting, including safe use of a barbed felting needle, shaping wool into three-dimensional forms, blending color, attaching felted pieces, creating expressive wool eyes, and adding the little details that give your hen her own personality.

All materials are provided, a light snack will be available, and no experience is necessary. Please bring your own beverage.

Come spend the morning making art, meeting creative people, and discovering just how fun needle felting can be.

Join the Dry Canyon Arts community.

DCAA membership is nearly 300 strong, and our bimonthly member meetings at Duffy’s Annex bring together around 80 artists, art lovers, volunteers, and creative neighbors each time. It’s one of our favorite reminders that art is not just something we make or admire, it’s something that connects people.

Membership in Dry Canyon Arts Association and the Dry Canyon Community Art Center is open to anyone who loves, supports, or is curious about the arts. You do not have to be a professional artist to belong here. Members help support local art in Central Oregon while enjoying a growing list of benefits, including member meetings, monthly e-newsletters, website roster listings, exhibit opportunities through Lend Me Your Walls, First Friday Art Walk participation at no cost, early art show calls, community marketing, and volunteer opportunities.

Students 18 and under are free, and everyone is welcome.

Art lets us step into someone else’s way of seeing.

That is the heart of Three Counties, Many Ways of Seeing, our all-community open exhibit at the Dry Canyon Community Art Center. Featuring 86 artists from Jefferson, Crook, and Deschutes counties, this show is a beautiful reminder that creativity lives everywhere: in small towns, classrooms, studios, kitchens, garages, sketchbooks, and quiet corners where people make because they have something to say.

For eight weeks, visitors can enjoy paintings, photography, sculpture, ceramics, mosaics, carved gourds, mixed media, and unexpected materials transformed into art. Each piece carries a little piece of its maker: what they notice, remember, dream about, and love.

Come see how three familiar counties become new again through 86 different artists.

Calling Central Oregon veterans, active military, and first responders.

Dry Canyon Community Art Center is seeking 2D and 3D artwork made by Central Oregon veterans, active military members, and first responders for an upcoming exhibit at the Art Center.

The sign-up deadline is September 4. Selected work will be shown at the Dry Canyon Community Art Center, with the exhibit running September 30 through November 28, 2026.

This is a meaningful opportunity to share your creativity, your perspective, and your story with the community. Paintings, sculpture, photography, mixed media, and other 2D and 3D art are welcome.
