We had 3 high school and 1 middle school team participate in the Meats Judging contest today. They toughed out a morning in the freezer judging cuts of beef, pork and lamb. And of course, being on campus meant a stop at the MSU Dairy Store!

Thank you to Mr. Randy Abend & Ms. Mallory Rozema for training our students for this contest, and Ms. Liz McDonald for helping drive us! We appreciate your support!

All three zoology classes were well represented at the Market Rabbit contest today in Fowlerville. Students learned how to grade the rabbits they raised, then followed them through the processing. Big thanks to RHS grad Kaydence Wetmore for her guidance throughout this project and to Detroit Halal Processing (Munsell’s) for hosting us!

Just a reminder, tomorrow night is our annual awards ceremony!! Students will receive their certificates during class and celebrate with ice cream. Attending the evening ceremony will allow students to get the pins for membership and special awards!!

Wear official dress if you have it, or dress nicely if not. We are looking forward to celebrating all of our members’ accomplishments!

Today, the Ravenna FFA officers had the opportunity to attend the Region V FFA Camp at Camp Newaygo. While at camp, officers strengthened their leadership and teamwork skills through collaborative activities led by the regional officers including Regional Vice President Avery Walker.
Additionally, Kodi was selected as the Regional Treasurer! She is excited for what this year has in store and looks forward to meeting new FFA members. 💙💛
