Today’s little known Black History fact. Pictured below is Mrs. Bertha Evans Siler. She was born August 11, 1865. At the time of her death- December 25, 1981 she was 116 years old. An article written about her states she may have been the oldest person on Earth when she died.

Known to some as “Grandma Berthie” or “Aunt Berthie”. She lived in Randleman and nurtured and cared for anyone that came in contact with her. She was my great great aunt on my maternal grandfather’s side. She was a “Woman Theorist!” 💛
