was receiving treatment for PTSD, I found that creating beaded items keep a lot of the symptoms at bay. So once I retired, it was the only thing that helped ground me. Especially since I stopped all meds and counseling. Now I craft and create in order to help me heal and to share the items with any and all. Hi y'all. Finally able to get all the parts ready for the next batch of composition notebook covers ready. Hoping to get them done sometime next week.
Gonna put a post soon about how I am feeling now that I am healed about the hysterectomy. Got a lot of y'all asking about if it was worth it, how the recovery went, why it took so long and so many questions. Been keeping them together and answering them so I can get it all together for everyone.
Weather has been crazy pants here so not been able to do much in the studio but glad I got this done.

Hey y'all. Here is the next batch of fabrics I will be using for the composition notebook covers. Figured these will be a good mix. The left will be the outside and the right will be the lining. I will get six of each. Gonna try to start on them today but do not have a lot of energy today. Was only able to have toast for breakfast so not sure if I will be in able to get much done.

Hey y'all. Made these yesterday and got them dropped off this morning. Love these so much that I kept one on the left. This has to be my favorite fabric so far. Gonna use it for my medical information notebook that I take with me for notes at appointments.
Got some new fabrics coming in this week to make more as these are my favorite to make so far. Got another procedure coming up at the end of the month to determine when we will be moving forward with surgery to fix some of the GI issues.
Exhaustion is still an issue, lack of appetite is still an issue as is the dizziness and lightheaded feelings. Pains are always problems but thankfully manageable.
Really hoping that doing all these surgeries can help all the issues so next year I can get back to running the nonprofit programs again.

Hi y'all. I got all the parts ironed and cut for the notebook covers done before it got too hot in the studio. The heat index today is expected to be 109 degrees which made the studio a bit too much even with my a/c unit going. It was around 84 in there which was okay but the humidity was a bit much.
All the parts are done so when I am feeling better I will get them all put together. This project really comes together fast once all the parts are cut and prepped. I cannot wait to get these done y'all. These may be my favorite yet.

Morning y'all and Happy Saturday. HUGE thank you to everyone who grabbed items from the Amazon Wish List. Getting ready to get some use out of the new cutting mats today. Gonna be cutting up fabrics for the notebook covers today. Got new fabrics yesterday and ready to get them cut up.
These are more my style, dark themed. While I love using bright, cheery and colorful for others my style is more dark themed so when I saw these two online I grabbed a yard of each. They will still be donated but I love working with items that feed my darkness sometimes.
Yesterday was a high pain day and today I am feeling a bit of a pain hangover so not sure how long I will last in the studio.

Hey y'all. Did another drop at Jumpin' Java Coffee Shop this morning. It is so much fun getting to restock the bookmark bins knowing how popular they are. Gotta get some more supplies soon.

I have held onto this fabric for a while not sure what project I was going to use it on. The pattern was too big for bookmarks and it just did not scream bag or tote for me. It was just enough for composition notebook covers and so happy that it stayed in my stash for so long because this is the perfect project for it.
Gonna try to get these pinned before I shut down the studio and head inside for a rest. Maybe I can get this set done today. How is your day going?

Morning y'all. Today is an admin day. Paper work needs filing and spreadsheets need updating. Even though programs are paused there are donations I drop off locally, expenses being made and donations made to me so I have to keep records.
Feeling okay today, pains a bit high but manageable. Energy is low and hopefully I will feel well enough to eat soon. Even coffee is a no go this morning. Just gonna get this admin work done and see where we are after.
