In the past, we’ve always been grant funded but that’s not the case anymore 😢 so we are depending on your support.

We’ve wrapped up our spring series of Repair Events!
With a total of 230 people served at our 5 events, we repaired 191 broken belongings. Nearly 800 pounds were diverted from the landfill. And, most importantly, people that needed help were helped! All thanks to our incredible crew of volunteers!!

We want to give a HUGE shoutout to the Jefferson County Fairgrounds!! Without them, the tool library might still just be a dream among some nerdy tinkerers and tool-lovers.
We had the plans but we desperately needed a space that could be flexible and work with us, and here entered the Fairgrounds! Thank you to such an incredible staff and board for helping make this happen ✨

Our FINAL Repair Event for this spring is around the corner! Find us fixing your belongings at the Jefferson County Library on May 30th from 10am to 1pm! Be sure to get there with plenty of time for us to work on your item.
We will have volunteers ready to help repair any household belongings, small appliances/electronics, bikes, clothes, and sharpen tools! Find all the extra info at JeffCoRepair.com

You asked for it, and we got them! (Actually, some really awesome folks donated them!! Everyone shout out a big thank you!)
Y’all have been asking for a rototiller, digging bar, torque wrench, disc sander, and log splitter - and they are here! (The log splitter is not quite ready yet!)

We are so honored to have been presented with the Jefferson County Public Health Hero award alongside so many impactful members of this community 🥳 It was a joy to sit amongst so many people who care deeply about this community and show it with their actions. JeffCo Repair was created to help minimize waste in our community, empower our residents to learn skills, and build community connections. Thank you to the for recognizing our efforts!

Mandi Johnson was recognized for her leadership with the JeffCo Repair program. Through the Port Townsend Marine Science Center, this program was created as an answer to the question: how do we look upstream and prevent waste from even being created, before it gets to our beaches and our landfills?

It’s truly inspiring to see the care and commitment we have in this community.

We may have been accidentally locked out of the repair event venue, but this scrappy crew made it work! We found a power outlet, moved some picnic tables from the park next door, and got to fixing! We’re just grateful it was a sunny day ☀️

Quilcene - dig out those broken belongings because we’ll be there fixing stuff this Saturday! Find us at the Quilcene Community Center from 12-3pm on April 18th. We’ll have volunteers ready to attempt repairs on clothes, small appliance, other household items, bikes, and sharpen your tools!

If you normally can’t make our Saturday events, this one is for you! Find us fixing things next Thursday (4/9) from 5-7 pm at the Cotton Building in downtown Port Townsend!
Please note - tool sharpening will not be available at this event. BUT we will be ready to attempt repairs on just about anything else you can bring in. Things like clothing, bicycles, small appliances/electronics, kitchen gadgets, and other household items!

Thanks to everyone that came out to the Arts n Crafts Supply Swap! We had a blast seeing all the fun stuff come through and so many folks walking out with their arms full!
