To all Lower Lazy C Residents please be advised that the new property owner that unfortunately has bulldozed part of the berm between the road and the river has been reported to DCD and WDFW. They were operating without any permitting and the new owner was apologetic stating they didn't know they couldn't just do landscaping on their own. This message is to let you know your HOA has brought this to the attention of the county and the new owner. This is also a reminder to all of us that the lower Lazy C being in a flood plain comes with many restrictions, unfortunately due to the nature of where we all live and the natural wonders that surround us.

🗳️ Attention Lazy C Club HOA Members: Don't Miss the Ballot Deadline! 🗳️

It's time to cast your vote! Please note the following deadlines for the HOA ballot:

• Mail-In Deadline: Your ballot must be received by mail no later than Friday, November 14th, 2025.
• In-Person Delivery: You can also deliver your completed ballot in person at the special Member's Meeting on this Saturday, November 15th, by 10am @ the Lazy C Clubhouse

Reminder: Only Members in good standing are eligible to vote. All current and running board members are asked to attend the meeting on Saturday please.

📆 NOMINATIONS DEADLINE THIS FRIDAY 9/26!!!

The Lazy C HOA Annual Members meeting took place last Saturday (9/20). All lot owners had been pre-notified by mail and social media. Membership attendance was low but great questions were asked and discussion was had.

Agreement to include the proposed 2026 Budget with the new Board Nominations was reached and another call for nominations for open Board seats was made. A final deadline of 9/26 (this Friday) was set to receive nominations from anyone interested in running for a board seat. Below is the nominations and voting timeline.

There will be another Members meeting on 11/15 at 10am to announce the new board. If you are running for the board attendance on 11/15 is required please.

TIMELINE FOR BOARD AND BUDGET VOTING
1) Board Nominations and optional statements due by Friday, September 26
2) Ballots will go out via USPS and email by Friday, October 13
3) Completed, signed ballots must be received by Friday, November 7
4) Brief member meeting for election results at 10am Saturday, November 15, with Board Meeting to immediately follow

*No regular Board Meetings in October and November. The new board will vote on whether or not to hold a meeting Thursday, December 11

It's highly recommend all Brinnon residents show up for this event. It's an opportunity to meet all your Jefferson County Commissioners and Department Heads. Public comment and discussion is part of the conversation. The Quilcene event on the 9th was one of the largest turn out of Quilcene residents in a long time. There were great questions, not always satisfactory answers, but a sincere effort on the part of the county to engage with the citizens. Brinnon will show up as it always does. Bring your questions and let’s have a civil conversation with our county government.

To all Lazy C Residents, early this morning a burglary was interrupted at a location in the Lower Lazy C. The police have been on the scene, owners have been alerted too. This is a property for sale and currently not inhabited 24/7. If anyone in the Lower Lazy C saw anything please report it to our Sheriff's department. In addition let's all keep an eye on our neighborhoods. If you see something please report it immediately. We do have a South County Deputy now but that is not a 24/7 position. Important we all watch out for each other's property and not hesitate to report unexpected lights on, or any suspicious activity. If we keep the pressure on the criminal element they will become less bold in our community. It takes a village/neighborhood to help and look out for each other. - If you know something and don't want to report it you can email [email protected] or call ‪(360) 670-0112‬ and I will be happy to take the information and keep the source anonymous. Let's look out for each other, please!

Friendly reminder to all Lazy C HOA members... the next Board meeting is August 21st at 6pm @ the Clubhouse. This meeting is to finalize the agenda for the Annual Members meeting scheduled for September 20th, 10am @ the Lazy C Clubhouse. Nominations for new board members will be reviewed and voted on too, along with a proposed 2026 Budget. All Lazy C HOA lot owners and residents are welcome to attend. Questions? FINAL REMINDER: UNPAID DUES WILL INCUR LATE FEES IF NOT PAID BY JULY 31, 2025.

🏠 ALL Lazy C Lot Owners/Members. Please note that if you have not paid your 2025 required members’ dues by July 31st, your account will start accruing late fees. If you do not know what you owe or have questions please email: [email protected]. Remember if you haven’t paid your dues you are not able to vote on HOA agenda items at annual meetings. Bills were sent out earlier this year, if you didn't get one please let us know. Ignoring paying these dues is not OK and will come with late fees and potentially other consequences .

📆 Also, please mark your Calendars for the next annual members meeting which will be held Sept. 20th @ 10am, at the Lazy C Clubhouse. SAVE THE DATE! Nominations for new board members and approval of the annual budget will be among the agenda items for this required annual meeting. Anyone is welcome to attend but only Lot Owners that have paid dues are able to vote.

Sad news for the Bookmobile... No Bookmobile at the Lazy C until further notice unfortunately.

JULY 28 UPDATE: Mobile services will continue beginning tomorrow, but will be limited to hold pickups only. We will deliver materials to all stops in the Library District van. Thank you for your patience. We truly appreciate your care and support. ❤️

We are sorry to announce that our Bookmobile was in an accident, and it looks as if it will be declared a total loss. Most importantly, the employees involved are safe and unharmed.

In the coming days, we’ll begin assessing next steps for outreach services and vehicle replacement. It’s too soon to know the full timeline, but we will keep you informed as plans develop.

This is a big loss, but it’s one we will recover from together. Please join me in expressing appreciation and care for the Bookmobile team. We are so grateful that everyone is okay.
